"Balanced shoe that offers control and support" |
11/18/09 |
| Being new to bouldering, I had no idea what type of shoe to get. A friend of mine told me to try out Five Ten. I took a gamble on these and I have been more than satisfied. First off, the thickness of the sole is a perfect balance for newer climbers, as it offers the support necessary for me to crank through those longer toprope routes, but also gives me the feel necessary to get through more delicate boulder problems! The good thing about the leather construction is also that it offers a little wiggle room if you don't get the perfect size because it will stretch a little. I could not have asked for a better shoe for under 100$! | |

"Worth it for a beginning/intermediate climber." |

| Just received these last week, and am pleasantly surprised. Reviews of the lace-ups were less than stellar, but these performed very well in the gym. I ordered them as my street size and it was a perfect fit. Super sticky on 5.10-5.11 routes. I was able to finish routes that my busted old shoes were worthless on. Have yet to take them outside, but no indication that they won't perform. | |
