"great for smearing... but not much else"
i use these exclusively for low angle slab. the stealth c4 smears really well and the shoe is comfy, but lacks any real structure. theyre just kind of soft and sloppy. so overall, good for smears, not good for precision or support. i still like them though, and they are perfect for sandstone slabs
Very comfortable but very weak. I have gone trough two pairs of these shoes due to the outer seam breaking. I went through my first pair in less than a month. Also they are terrible to heel hook in. The heel does not fit snug what so ever. The shoe also stretches about a half size after 2-3 hours of wearing them for the first time.
These are great for beginners. Very comfortable and can be worn all day. The heel is not snug at all and heel hooks just feel weird. Also I have gone through two pairs of these shoes due to the outer seem coming apart. Don't expect these shoes to last long. My first pair broke within one month...
I bought these shoes over 6 months ago. Primarily for gym climbing. They broke in very well after about 2-3 hours of climbing. Be prepared for about a half size stretch after a month or two of use. I would definitely buy another pair in the future.
"Extremely comfortable for a climbing shoe"
I got a pair in a US size 10. I wear an 11.5 in a normal shoe. I have been climbing in these shoes for over a year and a half almost everyday, in a gym. They have just started to wear down. I have a narrow foot and have to really crack the laces down. The heel cup doesn't fit perfectly.
"A decent beginner shoe. I bought a full size down and it works"
This shoe is good through climbs rated at 5.8, but you will start to feel limited by the rounded sole, and hence the lack of edging, once you get into some 5.9 routes and definitely 5.10 routes. Quality: after about a half dozen trips to the climbing gym and outdoors some of the seams are already starting to wear out. Sizing: I am a 10.5 in normal shoes, but bought a 9.5. I would say it stretched about a half size after a couple trips so now feels about a half size small walking around, which is good because it is tight enough to keep my feet and toes solid in pockets, but comfortable enough so I don't have to take them off between climbs.
"Cheap and low quality shoe. You get what you pay for"
Owned these shoes for two weeks. They were awful. The laces are awkward, the rubber is super thin, and the shoe really stretches. Size down in these shoes, and be ready for red feet. Moccs are better for the price.
I really do love my coyote lace-ups and they are a great shoe but not for an avid climber. I am at the climbing gym 2-4 times a week and after owning these shoes for 5 months they are already wearing down pretty bad. They have really great stick once they are heated up and I really enjoy that about them. Another problem I have had with these shoes is that while I was crack climbing, after a month or so of owning them, one of the shoes developed a seam rip on the outer part of it. Over all they are a really good shoe but not for someone who climbs as often as I do. Plus, I really hope you like having red feet after every climb :)
I bought these shoes a few months ago and am fairly happy with them. They are very comfortable and stick pretty well. Although they are good shoes, they can not even compare to a performance shoe such as the muira. I suggest spending the extra money and buying the best...You wont regret it!
These shoes are amazing, the friction on the rock is insane. Super comfortable, you barely even realize they are on! The toes are a little more pointed than they look in the pictures. 5.10 = best brand shoe, Coyote Lace Up = great cost effective model. Cant go wrong here
"Great shoe for an okay beginner climber"
These are the only climbing shoes I've ever owned although I've tried about a dozen others. I generally climb for long periods of time and these are comfortable enough to be worn all day. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an all-purpose climbing shoe.
Bought these as my first shoes and they are great. I have done some really feet intensive problems and have had no problems. They smear well, and the unlined leather also smears red colour all over your feet. I like it. Reminds me that I should probably shower.
