"Nice in general, but not as durable as the classic Anasazi VCS" 03/10/13
Those are nice all around climbing shoes. Good for trad and sport climbing. But not so good for bouldering. I like them but I think the Anasazi VCS is better and cheaper. The Verde's fabric stretches a lot when compared to VCS. The Verde also seems to have a bad smell after a few month of usage. I would buy VCS, unless the Verde is on sale.
"great shoe, but not the best" 02/11/13
The verde, I have no real complaints, but I would probably get the blancos over these next time. As I said have had no real problems, but there are better. This shoe works well in cracks and has darn good edging capabilites. It is definitely a good shoe for all around good use. Would not recommend it for sport climbing, overhanging stuff. doesnt quite cut it in that department.
"Awesome shoes for sport, trad, anything!" 12/12/11
These shoes seriously improved my climbing. They make dime-edges seem huge, the rubber is super sticky, and the improved heel fits my foot very snugly. I wear a size 10 in Vans slip-ons, and I wear a size 9 with these. Break in period wasn't too bad, they were pretty comfortable right out of the box. They're synthetic, so don't expect them to stretch. The only thing is that the black decorative seam thing that goes around the laces and covers the sewn seam didn't last very long after a few crack routes. I ended up pulling it off and glueing the seam with contact adhesive, just for a bit of extra durability.
"Top notch" 03/10/11
This is one of the best climbing shoes I have ever were. The rubber sticks like glue and is far superior to Vibram soles in my opinion. I wear size 12.5 and got this in size 12 and they fit perfectly out of the box.I haven't had a chance to really try out the heel-hooking with these, but for now it seems that they are up for the task, though the heel is kind of pointy and does not completely embrace my heel.Anyway...overall it really was a love at first sight!
"must fit your foot... duhhh" 09/04/10
i bought this shoe and it felt great when was on in the shop. i went in the afternoon so my foot would fit into it when it was at its biggest and most swollen. i got home went to Araps to go climbing and by the 3rd day my feet couldn't take it anymore. the heal is pretty high on the back and rubs quiet a lot sometimes leaving a bit of blisters. NOW apart from all that the shoe itself is amazing the arch support makes things heaps easier and the fabric doesn't stretch so no slippage at all. also the new rubber their using is incredibly grippy. highly recommend this shoe... if it fits your foot
"Best climbing shoe I have ever owned!!! Buy a pair!" 01/26/10
This shoe has been amazing! Its sharp edges holds onto the smallest foot holds and Stealth Onyxx rubber still lets me climb hard friction slabs like its nothing! they are nice and stiff yet still comfy! great for sport climbing! not the best for being a gym monkey.
"For the Climber who needs the Best." 04/07/09
This shoe is the best all around climbing shoe ever! I have seen pros and amateurs alike climbing in this shoe. If you are just getting into the sport, this is your shoe; if you are a 5.12 climber, this is your shoe. It will last several years due to the liner and strong, sticky rubber. The toe lasts a long time and has a great shape which lets you dial in those dime edges. Buy this shoe and/or the velcro. I own both thanks to Moosejaw.
"the best climbing shoe there is, period." 07/11/08
five-ten makes the best climbing rubber for sport and bouldering. if that's what you are in to, then get these shoes. they have a perfect balance between agressive enough to toe on tiny crimpers, and mellow enough if you size them right to stand around in at belay stations. Get the lace up version, they can be dialed in to your foot for a much nicer fit.
