As good as it getsExped is the Therm-a-rest killer. This pad is superior to the longtime market leader in a half-dozen fundamental ways. It is warmer. It's larger. It is more comfortable. Way more durable. And the fabric doesn't make that really loud friction noise every time you roll over. Then, there's no pokey valve to protrude at your eye or ankle. The valve has an air stop gasket! And one of my favorite's...there's a SEPARATE deflation valve.,,,,On it's own, you get all that. Then, if you buy the Exped shnozzle, you can fill it up in about **five seconds** without the mildewy complications of using your vapory breath. Therm-a-Rest has been wonderful for a long time. But they've been surpassed by Exped at least for now. This and the "9" down model are the best pads on the market. Maybe we'll be lucky and this will start a wild market competition and Therm-a-Rest or someone else will outdo Exped next. Until then, get this. It has every desirable feature yet to be invented.
