Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Every Night Of Sleep Great In The Woods. I've used thermarests for years and always slept like crap. I thought that that was just a part of the backpacking experience until now. The Synmat has been a revelation. I can sleep pretty much anywhere now and I don't have to worry about every little bump or stone that might be under my tent. This smooths them all out because it's 2.75 inches thick. I used it down into the 20s and haven't been cold at all when paired with a good sleeping bag. It's rated to 1 degree so I'm covered for just about anything. The pump is nice too, but it can be slow to inflate sometimes. This pad has greatly improved my quality of living in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife loved it so much, she ended up taking it from me. Got it mainly for a 3 week trip in National Parks and ended up having to give it to my wife after the third night. It is super warm, packs up tight, and offers just the right amount of cushion. I enjoyed using the hand pump, showing it off a little bit. I also liked the fact that I forever knew that none of my wet breathe would get in there. ,,,,I've used many other pads from different makers, and this is at the top of the list for sure. ,,,,I think it helps get my sleeping system down another 10-15 degrees. I've never felt cold in the morning while using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just About Perfect (for me) I'm a pansy when it comes to sleeping outside, and researched a lot of pads before deciding on this one. It's not the lightest one out there, but I'm willing to sacrifice a little weight for alot of comfort! Packs down small, and blows up to a deep enough thickness that I can comfortable sleep on my side. Little moisture can get in since you don't have to use your breath to blow itup, and it has more, smaller baffles than the Big Agnes, so it doesn't feel as bouncy to me. Stuff sack & repair kit included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort and Warmth I don't like sleeping in a motel the night before a hike when I can sleep at the trail head and get a 2AM start. The first time I used this pad it was beside my car, above 10,000 feet and a cold wind was blowing. About 1 AM I got up and thought "it's gonna take forever to warm back up after this wind sucks all the warmth out of my bed". I laid back on this pad and it was warm, very warm, electric blanket warm. ,,I was amazed although I shouldn't have been surprised. That is how it works, the pad gathers your body heat and holds it for you. Get up walk around, get back in, it is still warm. ,,I have carried it backpacking, and slept on rocks, gravel, sand and it is comfortable and durable as well . ,,Before I had this pad I never slept when outdoors, now I sleep, what more needs to be said?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mattress I've used Therm-a-rest mattresses for years but I decided to look elsewhere this time around. I would compare this to the ProLite therm-a-rest line in terms of cost and weight. It's a little bit more expensive than the ProLite but a stuff sack is included and these things inflate much more. In my opinion these are more comfortable. Using the integrated pump takes some practice but once you get it down you can inflate the mattress in about 10 min.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Pad This pad is not only extremely comfortable, but is lightweight and portable even with the built-pump (which is awesome). It could pack down to almost the size of a nalgene 32 oz bottle. When getting to camp, you can unpack and leave inflation valve open and it will self-inflate about 1/3 after about 30 minutes. The high R-Value provides great warmth, so you might be able to get away with a lighter sleeping bag to shed weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better than Therm-a-mat! I own Exped airmat without insulation for summer usage, but I also order this for winter backpacking. 4.9 insulation rating is plenty to keep you warm inside the tent in the snow. I don't have any issue with it. This is definitely lighter than Therm-a-mat for sure and am selling it. Exped is the most comfortable mat that I have ever owned to sleep on. I can dream and dream deeply on this mat. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleeping on a Cloud! Though its not the lightest, most compact sleeping pad, it make up for it by being both warm and comfortable. After a long days hike, this is the closest that you are going to get to a real bed. It inflates in minutes and holds the air fairly well. packaging it into the sac is very simple, therm-a-rest has a wonderful video on how to do so. Great product!
