The Exped Mega Mat 10 Sleeping Mat is mega big, comfortable and warm, and an awesome sleeping pad for any endeavor that allows for an extra bit of weight. This Exped sleeping pad features Smart FlatValve Technology which includes two flat valves, one for inflation and one for deflation, and one-way flaps on the valves prevent air from escaping during inflation. The FlatValves also allows you to customize the sleeping mat to your body ergonomics and comfort by pressing the one-way flap to release air in short bursts until you get the ideal stiffness in the mat. The super soft and durable fabric construction includes resilient polyester tricot with embossed honeycomb structure that is comfortable next to the skin and slip-resistant. The laminated airblock film is made of PU-Ether and is absolutely hydrolisis resistant making it leak proof even if humidity accumulates during inflation.

Yes it is worth every dollar, so stop whining about the price. After spending my nights on an offering from a rival manufacturer I have to admit that being "cheap" when it comes to the quality of rest you get after a hard day on the trail is the wrong way to approach this. Yes it is expensive, yes it is worth every dollar.,,So normally I start thinking about dinner at some point in the afternoon, but now I start thinking about laying down on my EXPED. On multy-day trips this going to a game changer.,,But, and it`s a big BUT, this mat is not suitable for backpacking, unless you have a sherpa carrying your gear, or mule or maybe a moose. It`s big, it`s comparably heavy, but...,,Get a sherpa already, it`s that good. See you in the morning with a smile on my face.
