Really Good Lightweight PadNice Pad! Comfortable and ultralight. I have Big Agnes IAC and Thermarest Trail Lite pads, and feel that this is more comfortable than all of them, especially when temps stay above 55 degrees. I inflate with a Shrink Bag and Schnozzel attachment, and it is a wonderful system. Exped flat valves are far superior to twist valves used by other manufacturers. They allow more air flow to pass through, and I have not yet had a single leak after probably 30 nights use. Welded through baffles have no negative impact on comfort in my opinion.

small and lightI was a ground sleeper with just a closed cell pad. This might weigh a fraction more but it makes up the difference in weight with it's small size. This thing packs down to nothing in its own stuff sack with the repair kit. This is the pad to go with if you don't want to break the bank but still end up with a 3 inch mat. When I need insulation I will add my foam back into the mix.

3 inch thick works for me.No extra frills, but it is inexpensive, durable, & comfortable compared to similar products. Works great for warmer weather since it has no added insulation. You can always increase the R value by placing a jacket under the mat. For colder weather consider the synmat version.
