great pair of pantsI bought these pants from an outfitter in Durango, Colorado in 2014, leaving behind the convertible pants that I had brought from home, as these were obviously superior. They were fantastic in comfort, ease of features, fit, light weight - just loved them. I wore them for 6 nights/5days in the San Juan Wilderness area backpacking. They have been on long distance canoe trips, several backpacking trips and many day walks. They have held up fine and I still love them. I'm ordering a second pair, with a shorter inseam, because I like them so much.

New design sucks...I have owned over 15 pairs of amphi convertibles, and like many other, I am very disappointed with the new design. I can't believe the mesh is gone and the extremely valuable cell phone pocket above the right cargo pocket is gone. Also, your photos on the website doesn't show side views or the belt system as you have always shown in the past. If your design team wants to change something just give us more colors not less utiliy. Guess I have to find an alternate till you bring back our favorite time tested convertibles.

Great Pant! These are one of my favorite pairs of convertible pant. They feel great. I purchased the Dark Charcoal color which goes well with a lot of shirts. I like the pockets, the contrasting zipper on each leg, and the waistband feels great. My only two minor gripes are:
Why is the belt so long? It ends up half-way around my waist without even really tightening the belt. Also why are the two belt loops on the back of the pant so far apart. The waist band on the back of the pant scrunches down and looks a little weird because of the huge distance between the loops. You guys fixed this with the Amphi Shorts and Amphi Pants (non-convertible) in 2015 but why not these? Other than this, I really like the pant and would still recommend them.

Good quality pantsThe first purchase of Exofficio pants, some eight years ago, have a mesh inter-liner that the new pants do not have. The pants have been used on backpacking trips and regular occasions. They are very comfortable and dry in minutes. The inseam on the new pants is a little long for a 34 waist.

Great quality, new featuresI have been using ExOfficio shirts and Amphi pants/shorts for over 15 years on some of the most rugged high mountain trails and warm inviting beaches. In cold rime ice conditions, paired with a suitable inner layer, the shirt and pants kept me very comfortable. As a river guide, the shorts were perfect for swimming, camp duties and guiding the raft. The material dries very quickly and stains seem to fall off the nylon very easily. On the new style Amphi shorts and convertible pants, I like the waist band, belt and the quick access side pockets and the other "utility" pockets. I just spent two weeks trekking through southern France and northern Spain, and the change from the Amphi shorts to the Amphi pants was easy. I could file all of my documents, hardware, money, etc, in the same pockets on both shorts and pants and still carry a 0.5 liter bottle of water in one of the big pockets. The quality of construction has gotten better than I've seen on my old legacy products.
There is only one gripe!! The absence of the mesh liner forces men to wear an undergarment. Now swimming is not so easy as things just don't dry out as well. Another issue, having to do with heat, is the undergarment makes for a warmer body overall in the 90+ degree climates.
Great product. BRING BACK THE MESH LINER!!

Pretty goodPants were OK...comfy waistline, they have a really odd little watch pocket on the right sid that is OK for keeping movie tickets but too small for anything including a clip on knife. No side zipper wallet pocket which I find essential for world travel. this said I have visited over 40 countrys and know that it's necessary for keeping one's valuables intact. Other than that goo d pants and I like the color coded zippers for the legs.

Loved the pants, but the size?I loved the quality/look of the pants, but had to return due to size. I am 5'7", 135, typically wear a 29"/30". I was swimming in these pants - at least 1-2 inches too long and VERY roomy waste, so I had to return. Also, seemed like the crotch was way too long even when I tightened belt to fit on my waste.
