Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pant, well crafted, durable, dries fast Excellent for trekking trails or sun-scorched, windy, brushy terrain like the Steens Mounains or for canyoning. These pants are durable, dry fast, pack small, require no belt, the zipper is strong and the button closure is really good. Zip hip pockets secure a wallet, the leg pockets are placed well for light stuff. Hardly notice you're wearing them, but they provide good sun protection without the grease. I'm just six feet, weight 155 and the 30" waist with a 32" inch fits great. Could've been a 34" inseam but the 32" is fine.I' right in between. I'm considering the convertible version as well because it's a little more versatile.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Men's Noi Amphi Pants I have been buying these pants for many years and am disappointed with them. They used to be better. Now there are only two colors to chose (very boring) and the style does not include the button on the bottom of the slacks. I really like the button feature. It was stylish and gave the option to tighten the bottom of the pants or open. I like the pants for active wear, but I am tired of the charcoal and cigar color! They used to have white, black, brown, a green or type of green as well. Also, the center waist button never seems to be lined up properly as it used to and the belt seems to be a cheep clasp which sometimes holds and other time comes apart or breaks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost nailed it I have 3 pairs of these now, and in general they are worth the investment. You can go from wearing them for light field work or travel gear to passing for use in a more professional setting. The cargo pockets are useful when needed, but are tailored for a trim look when empty. I use them in the humid southeastern US, and they definitely wick and breathe much better than any cotton pant. Mesh panels for the pockets are soft enough to avoid irritation and add to the overall cooling. My only complaint is a styling change for the otherwise perfect cellphone pocket. Those manufactured in Vietnam had just the right depth for my Iphone. A newer pair from China has the pocket ca. an inch too shallow. It's bad enough that I'll be modifying it myself. I might have 2nd thoughts on ordering these again for this reason alone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want my old style! I have a pair of older long leg amphi pants and want another. My pants have a brief liner and are essentially a long leg bathing suit. That's how I use them. When I travel to a warm place and go snorkeling I wear these for sun protection. They also have ties at the ankles to keep them tight and prevent riding up the leg. The new style amphi pants and shorts don't have the brief liner anymore or the ties in the long pant. How can I get more of this style??!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants! I've worn the Nomad pants for many years but these have taken their place. I have a closet full and wear them just about every day. The fit is great and the large number of pockets - in all the right places - make carrying all my pocket gear a breeze. A few more color options would be nice ...... a complimentary shade of green and a lighter shade of brown would be a nice. PLEASE DON'T MESS WITH THE STYLE OR FIT OF THESE PANTS! THEY'RE GOOD "AS-IS"!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish Upon a Star I’m holding my breath and buying another pair of these. At least they are on sale. Ex Officio has re-introduced the shorts with the brief. I continue to hope that the Amphi Pants with the brief will return. I’m really not a fan of the underwear, so you're never selling that to me anyway. The quality is decent compared to the competition. Some features vary over time. I’m here for practicality, and the ability to pack light.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not like my last pair I have to say I am disappointed in my new Amphi pants. They don't fit like my older pants (two pairs). The waist is just enough bigger to make them uncomfortable when the belt is cinch enough to hold them up. And I don't like the new style pockets. I'll still wear them because I don't rally have an alternative, but I really wish they looked at fit like the older Amphi pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nio Amphi pant Good choice for a light-weight, travel-friendly pant. Standard fit - sits above the waist. Roomy enough for hiking, but basic enough for town wear. Dries quickly. Nice cargo pocket. Can be worn in warm or cool weather. No complaints.
