I bought these for the synthetic material to speed drying time from sweat and rain. I wore them to work (mechanic out in 95% heat 99% humidity) and when I got home I had a less than desirable odor of my junk. They were comfortable at least and thought maybe it was just me and an off day. So I took them hiking. That night at camp when I switched over to dry (thunderstorm out) set of clothes I noticed funky junk had returned. This is odd because I usually have no funk other than what rightfully belongs in my soul. I'm a clean dude and can sweat all day long and have minimal if any odor issues in that region of my world. This review is about as real as it gets, maybe a little too real. I thought the synthetic material would be extra dry and breathable. Turns out I was a bit wrong.
Comfortable, lightweight, supportive, great for anything--outdoors or not.I've forgotten they're on, which is saying something. I have the boxer-brief version too, this offers more support so if you are doing anything at a faster pace this would likely be the way to go. They don't smell nearly as bad as other underwear after a long adventuresome day. They're the perfect underwear for any situation, work or play. The waistband and fabric never cause irritation, as comfortable as it gets.
When you're two days out and still have four days left on a backpacking trip, you don't want to run out of clean underwear. Unless you are wearing these wonder briefs. They are great at staying fresh (as fresh as possible, at least) after full days of hiking, and the material is very comfortable. They never ride up, and are very light and breathable. These briefs are my standard for any backpacking trip.
"space age drawers for your next adventure"
These are, bar none, the best underwear I've ever owned. I started out with two pairs to use them for backpacking trips, and ended up wearing them all the time. The fabric is slightly textured and the cut is trim, yet true to size. Waistband feels fine, and the stitching is absolutely top notch. They're noticeably less funky after a day or two of hiking, compared to a normal pair of underwear. Can't say enough good about them.
