"The perfect "first pair" climbing shoes"
These were my first climbing shoes. I am a size 39 street size ans I got them size 39 as well, my toes were curled very slightly. Break in period was quick, the did not stretch much but did soften up significantly. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone looking to buy their first pair.
I'm a recreational climber and have used this shoe on indoor gyms and outside. It's held up well, is a good fit (great arch support!). I usually wear a 9 in shoes, bought and 8 and like the fit, though my big toes get a little cramped after a long sesh which if pretty par for the course in climbing shoes.Good buy!
The pair I got were slightly too short (and by slightly I mean distractingly very painfully so). The guy at the store told me they're meant to fit that way. I believed him at first because I was still high from my first climb, but I have since learned I could do better (and have). However, I have a friend who has a pair of these and likes them, so who knows? you might like them, too. Just make sure they're bearable for you to wear unless you're super hard-core into foot-binding.
I'm a newbie climber and bought these to take for indoor bouldering - have held up well in the last 6 months (though mine is at present low-frequency use) and wear comfortably for a reasonable period of time.Sizes true to what I buy for running shoes (7.5) but gives the snug fit that I wanted.
this shoe was a treat to myself, once i had gotten to a certain level at my rock climbing gym. They are still doing their job a year later! I really like these shoes and they are a good neutral shoe, when you dont know exactly how aggressive you want your shoes to be.
I bought these for my wife last year for christmas and she loves them! Ladies: these shoes are super cute! you will have the girl climbers tell you that all the time. Of course climbing shoes tend to be tight and scrunch your toes, but these are really comfortable and they give you a good grip against any climb. They have not had any tears or rips after a year of use. These are durable and easy to put on and take off because of the velcro straps.
This was my first pair of climbing shoes and I've had them for about six months and climbed in them over 50 times. They're holding up great! The sole is still sticky and they haven't stretched.Pros: Comfortable (for climbing shoes) Inexpensive Durable Velcro is extremely convenient Cons: Smell (but that shouldn't really matter) Not too technical Overall great shoes for the price and great for beginners. Also, I wear a 7.5-8 in street shoes and found a 7 to fit perfectly.
My wife said these were about a half size too small. I tried the men's version and found the same so we tried a half size larger in the local store and the rest of the shoe fit good but it forced our big toe to curl under it wasn't comfy.
Regardless of experience level, I'd bet these are the best shoe for your lady friend! Tried a demo at a conference and was very pleased with the versatility. Very dynamic, would be great in any environment but I bet these would be super successful on a sandstone more slippery environment.I'm a little biased and think that the purple is chic, and the velcro is handy handy, doesn't "unzip" like the last pair of climbing shoes I had!LOVE THESE.
