"Great approach and everyday shoe" 03/13/13

the canvas is a little thin but that is what i wanted. something i could simply slip on and off at the wall. bottom is super sticky and works great. like all evolv it smells though

"best approach shoe---errr descent shoe" 02/18/13

These shoes lack good solid support for difficult approaches. However, they're super light and have great sticky rubber, which makes them excellent for tricky descents. The weight they add to your harness is the equivalent to have some flip-flops attached; but they manage down climbs 1 million times better. That's right...1 million. If you climb in Eldo Canyon and get stressed out descending the slabs, you want a pair of these.

"Performs really well!" 12/06/12

Got these because of all of the raves about how light they are sitting on a harness on a climb. Seems like they are barely heavier than my chalkbag! Also, be warned! The color description says gray, but they are more a metallic gray/purple. A little disappointing, but the weight and excellent performance on shorter approach hikes (even had to scramble a bit) was excellent! I'll buy another pair for sure!

Really awesome shoe on the rock. IMO the Cruzer doesn't fully fit under the approach shoe category, but doesn't quite fall under the climbing shoe realm either. Nice and comfortable for hanging out around camp (especially since the back end can collapse flat so the shoe is like a slipper). Also waaaaaay super light to haul up a climb for a walk off descent or even a bit more comfort for the rap back down. Downside is the laces feel a bit week/ready to snap when you really crank them down...

"Comfy, light shoe" 11/25/12

I got these shoes just to wear around town, so I can't comment on their rockworthiness. I like them, with a few minor complaints.First, the hard rubber sole makes the shoes noisy on a hard floor. Sort of like a pair of dress shoes.Second, I had a bit of trouble with the fit. I first ordered a 10.5; same as Adidas Superstars I've worn for years. The Cruzers seem to run small, and I had to exchange them for an 11, which seems more comparable to the 10.5 Adidas. The size 11 Cruzers still seems a bit smaller than the size 10 Chuck Taylor All-Star low-top that I also have.Bottom line, the shoes are comfy and look good, so I like them. Just pay attention to the sizes.

"I'm a Girl and I LOVE these!" 11/08/12

So you may think I'm weird because I wear these...BUT I DON"T CARE! They are sooooo comfortable and do not look super masculine (Guys, don't be afraid...they aren't girly, promise). The traction on these thing is insane...but just so you know, you should get a size bigger. Normally I get a size 8 in mens shoes, and I got a size 9 this time and they were perfect. But you will definitely love these.

"Great, Rad, and Good!" 10/05/12

Really rocking shoes. I am on my second pair not because they were worn out or damaged just cause they smelled so bad after wearing all summer with bare feet. Great for an approach shoe and to wear between climbs and super cool out at the bar. Thanks Evolv!

"These are some really cool shoes!" 10/01/12

I just bought some of these after I was at a 24 hour climbing comp. and saw tons of people wearing these. They are definitely great approach shoes and they work pretty well for climbing too. I saw many people doing the enitre competition in these shoes. And, they look pretty stylish too!

Seriously, you should see the sexy little beast. She's got them in a cool tan color and they go great with jeans - or without.They're super light, but have held up great. Grab a pair.

"Extremely comfortable, much more solid than they look" 04/04/12

Based on their casual appearance, I thought these would be much flimsier than they are; however, these shoes are much beefier than simple canvas shoes. The shoe has a leather lining that makes it quite sturdy - yet flexible and nice - feeling. And while the construction is solid, the shoe has very neutral/ minimal support... which I like, because I'm also into barefoot-style running, hiking, etc... Finally, the sole is very sticky. In general, I'd say the best word for this shoe is "nice" - nice feeling, nice to wear, nice looking, etc...
