The Edelweiss Challenge Sit Harness is a webbing harness for via ferrata and climbing gyms. The simple, yet strong polyamide webbing harness is built for safety as well as plenty of adjustability. Rent it out at the climbing gym, or keep it as an extra in your gym bag so a different friend can join you each time. The three auto-locking buckles make the adjustments secure. Packs up small and is lightweight so you can bring it anywhere.

Excellent harness for group or newbie useWe take groups out for rappelling & some climbing (mostly boy scouts). Between three of us that are trained to lead these trips we have around 30 sets of equiptment. 20 or so include the Edelweiss Challenge Sit Harness from the last couple years. We all agree that this is the best harness for our use - and fight for who gets to use them! The are easy for a new or young climber to understand how to put on. The buckle is easy and we can tell quickly if the harness is on correctly. The size range is great from a larger adult to a smaller boy scout. finally, the clear loop to clip into makes things easy all day as we work a large group through. There are slightly cheaper harnesses out there that are billed for "students" but this harness is more comfortable and has served us well. We plan to replace our older harnesses with this model as soon as we can get the funds together!!

Its your basic, general, and simple harness that worksThis is the harness that I began my climbing career in. It's extremely simple and tested. ,,,,The harness is perfect for Mountaineering since you wont be hanging off of it for days on end. It delivers a sturdy performance in case of Rescue or Belay. However, as mentioned previously, it isn't made with comfort in mind. So hanging off of this harness for a few hours might suck. Its simple 3-strap system is perfect for high altitude.,,,,I used it to rock climb and I was in pain after a few hours. But, if you're looking for an in expensive beginners harness for rock climbing at the gym or the occasional crag, this harness delivers. I recommended this harness to my buddy who was not big into climbing but was the only person who I knew that would come climbing with me for support. He bought it and belayed me up quite a few times and every once in a while he "sended" himself. He loved it. he climbs ever so often and likes the fact that harness was reasonably priced and trust worthy.

Great for all ages/sizes!I recently purchased four of these harnesses for our kids -- ages 8 - 14. They all work great and even fit adults. They were a great price too!
