The Edelrid Flycatcher 6.9mm Rope is a super skinny twin rope for alpine, mixed, or ice climbing. The ropes come only as a pair and with the included EDELRID Micro Jul, as the small rope diameter requires them to be used only with this specially made belay device. Sweet package deal. The ultralight weight means you'll have less to heft up the mountain. Each rope has been treated with Pro, Dry, and Thermo Shield finishes that allows them to perform better, resist dirt and water, and handle better. I'm not so sure about catching flies, but the twin ropes will certain catch you in a fall.
FEATURES of the Edelrid Flycatcher 6.9mm Rope
4% thicker sheath at the first 7 meters both ends and middle section for greater abrasion resistance and distinct tactile difference for increased safety

We only ship this brand to US Addresses., All climbing equipment is final sale. Sorry to be so mean about it.

Great handling, Ultralight weight, Awesome alpine tool.I got these ropes primarily for alpine climbs but I found it is quite versatile. It is the lightest twin rope currently on the market to my knowledge. It is also the skinniest. Need a lightweight pair of twins for a multipitch mixed route with two followers? These are the ticket. You and some friends doing a moderate glacier route on Mt. Shuksan? Just bring one. Climbing Infinite Bliss on your favorite lead rope but need a second 60m rope for the decent? Toss this in your pack. Doing a long traverse with just a short section of technical climbing? Bring one and double it over. ,,,,Like all skinny ropes it does tangle easily. However, it's actually stiffer than most twins which seems to really help. Also, don't forget to get a second Micro Jul for your partner (the ropes comes with one).
