These will do the job no doubt about it, but if your interested in using these for extreme hammocking i would go for some rock climbing daisy chains instead because these atlas straps only hold 400 ibs.
These straps are very convenient for setting up the hammock. It takes two minutes to do and adjustments are easy to make. Additionally, there are so many different settings to adjust the height, which makes it very simple to get the perfect height off of the ground. The straps themselves, are reinforced with stitching, which eliminates the sagging issue that the Slap Strap Pro's have. Even while swinging away for a few hours. You won't end up on the ground at the end of the night. The only drawback is they are a little shorter than the Slap Strap Pros I own. This has eliminated a few hanging possibilities for me, but it is not a serious issue, as they are long enough for most tree setups.
I bought a super awesome ENO Disco hammock (highly recommended, its super flashy) buuuuut, I had nothing to use it with! The atlas straps work great! I use mine to hang between two trees, but I've seen tons of different ways you can use it. This item is a necessity for any hammock!
These straps are perfect and by far the best straps I have tried. After setting out on a long adventure this past summer with no tent, just my trusty hammock, I found that these straps allowed me to set up fast and in the dark with ease - you can get to relaxing in just minutes. Being 10' long each and having loop almost every 5-6" makes them easy to get the perfect hang that you are looking for - and because they are made of poly instead of nylon, they hardly stretch. Also, they are quick and easy to roll up and store in their included storage bag once its time to move on. I would recommend to a friend.
Don't cheap out here... get these straps. Hanging the hammock doesn't get easier cause the distance between the trees is easily corrected with picking from multiple slots to any contortionist mood you're in. The strap lengths are very generous and very well built allowing you to wrap around thick trees without chewing up the bark and injuring the tree if you were to use paracord or some other thin rope. For nite time fun, remove the hammock and add your mate between the trees :-D Good day eh!
"If you want to have your hammock up and ready in no time this is the strap that you need."
This strap is very light and easy to use. If you don't want to have to fiddle with your hammock for a while and be able to set up quickly this is the strap you need to get. In order to see how to use it I recommend to watch a video on youtube. Just type in eno hammock review or Atlas strap review and you will get a quick tutorial of how to use these things. Two days ago I backpacked to Pisgah National Forrest with two other people and we all slept with eno hammocks and used these straps. We had set them up in less than 3 minutes. Definitely beats setting up a tent and definitely beats tying a rope around a tree to hang your hammock.
This is so much better than trying to rig your own hammock straps and it's tree friendly. It also is designed to play nice with your hammock so putting up/taking down is easy and you won't mind doing it every day so your hammock stays all nice and pretty.Spring for it even if you think you have the right ropes, straps, hooks, carabiners...
I have the eno doublenest and decided to get the atlas straps to go along with it, best choice ever! These straps make it super easy to put the hammock almost anywhere. The straps are made out of good quality material and feel extremely tough. If you have an eno buy these straps! They make life so much easier!
My best friend has an ENO hammock that we have brought on our trips to the BWCA for the last few years. I always wanted to hog it but I didn't because it was hers and I didn't want to be a jerk. I decided to order a hammock and I went with these straps because they seemed like the best bang for my buck. They are long enough for everywhere I have tried to hang them except for my backyard, sadly. But luckily my dad and I rigged up a neat system using these straps on our second floor porch. The only thing I find wrong is that when I am hanging for a long time(2-3 hrs) something, either the straps or the hammock itself, seems to stretch out a bit. Another plus is that they have neat orange stripes in them so they are stylin' as well as functional!
"I can't think of a better way to hang a hammock."
Bought these to use with our Doublenests. They're long enough and have enough loops that we haven't yet found a combination of tree diameters and intertree distance that foils it yet. Just perfect, and we'll be getting a couple more to use with a couple more ENO hammocks.
