The Eagle Creek Packable Daypack is an ultralight backpack that packs down into it's very own pouch. Pack it up into your main luggage and when you arrive at your destination grab it before stepping out to explore the city. It turns into a 16L day pack, ready to carry water, an extra layer, and whatever else you may need along the way. Buy a souvenir but don't wish to carry it? No problem for the 150D poly ripstop bag and breathable air mesh shoulder straps. Unless you happened to buy a giraffe carved out of wood that comes up to your hip.

Super Light Super PortableI was looking at those drawstring bags to use as a light day pack for traveling. When I came across this, it was at a similar price point but with better shoulder straps, packable pouch, and zippered pockets. It was even cooler in reality! I got the day pack and was loving it. More comfortable than the drawstring bag. Perfect for carrying all the assorted things one carries in a purse, when sightseeing: glasses, contact lens solution, maps, etc... I wish I had it earlier. Think of it as a drawstring backpack but with wide straps and more pockets. The bag is sorta made from the same lightweight material as a drawstring backpack so you can fold it inside its built-in pouch and carry it with you until you need it. If you're looking for a substantial daypack then this may not fit the bill. I'm buying a few more as gifts!

Light bag that's not super durableThis pack is super light, and i love that it's packable. I used it almost daily on a 6 month backpacking trip. Still, it's not veey durable, after daiky use of a few months, small tears in the fabric are present. It's ripstop, so they should be contained, but still disappointing. ,,,,Its only one pocket besides the main compartment, and it would be more useful with another pocket or waterbottle holder.

Good daypack for on the goThis is a great little pack to stuff in with your luggage when you go on a trip and want to take a pack for a day hike or two, without pay the air line baddies for the extra weight. The only thing I wish it had was something for hydration, a long mesh pouch on the side, or a port for a bladder hose.
