Great Backpack and perfect travel companionWhen I bought this I was a bit hesitant about it being for women. I wanted the versatility of the convertible pack, but the only one they specifically make for guys is way too big. I am not a big guy - but at 5'-8" - 45" chest, 33" waist, and 187lbs I am not small either. Overall on first impression I feel this bag will serve me well. I still need time to determine if the overall fit is good for me - So - far so good. I guess if you need a dedicated backpack for "backpacking" great distances (over 6 miles a day) - this might not be for you - (But then again, Deuter themselves does not recommend this particular pack for that purpose either.)This bag is very versatile, and designed so you can zip away the straps and harness, and use it like a duffle. For day hikes up to 3-4 miles it seems comfortable and overall just fine to me, only time will tell. I would be interested in knowing if any other guys/gals have bought this and what are their thoughts.
