Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Pack for a Short Woman! I am 5'4" woman with a short torso, and this is the absolute best pack I have ever used. There are a thousand ways to make it fit just right. The belt fits on my hips snugly without riding up, and the shoulder straps are cut narrowly enough that I don't get rubbed raw in my armpits. I haven't used it during the warmer months yet, so I can't comment on the airflow through the back; however, all of my female packing friends use this pack year round and love it. Unlike some of the other Deuter packs, this pack does not have a built-in rain cover, so you will have to buy one. I use a Sea to Summit, size large, for the cover, and it works just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful for small torsos! I've been bumming off others for a couple years and avoiding actually buying a pack because I am a poor college student. However, I got a sweet summer job that would have me backpacking and hiking for most of the summer, so I decided it was time to break down and buy my own. I am about 5'2'' and my torso is around 15 inches long. I struggled finding a good quality pack at a low cost that would adjust to fit my torso. This pack is super comfortable. When lifting up the pack it feels as though I've packed several rocks, but once the pack is on it feels great and not all that heavy. ,,Only cons are that is does not come with a rain cover and attaching a roll pad takes some jury-rigging

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightest pack you can cram a bear canister into. Here's why I have this pack.,,1) It's so comfortable I forget I'm wearing it.,,2) The cooling system actually works.,,3) I can fit a large bear canister into it,,4) It can accommodate anything from 3 days of gear to 8 days of gear without resupply.,,,,At one time I wished this pack had a detachable daypack, but then I realized that it was so comfortable it was the daypack. Just cinch the straps down and take some gear out and it's ready to go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bag I took this bag 32 miles in backcountry Yellowstone for a multi-day trip. My last pack was an older bag that did not have pockets so this bag was a big improvement with 5 pockets that are easily accessible. I did have trouble with the shoulder strap bugging my collar bone on the left side only, though that may have been to a number of other factors than the bag design. Overall I am very happy that I purchased this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for Globetrotting Just bought this for my quarter-life-backpack-Europe and India crisis. So far I love the size, it's big enough to carry all of my stuff, but small enough to conceivably fit as an airline carry on. There are so many pockets to organize my things, even if I may forget which pocket stuff is in- still can't find my watch.... Deuter is also always pretty reliable and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pack. well worth the money I love this pack so much that I bought one for my daughter and she loved it as well (which is rare for a teenager). My husband bought a Deuter pack for himself because the features are so awesome. We have used them on many extended trips including air-travel. The fully adjustable and removable shoulder straps are a plus as they offer the possibility of washing that pervasive trail funk out. If a good washing doesn't take care of it, you can replace the straps. The large outside front pocket is perfect for rain gear while the rest of the pack has so many options for pockets that it makes organizing gear a snap. The only complaint that we have is that, like most backpacks, the hip belt only has one pocket. There is room for another pocket and so many people would like one, wouldn't is be easy enough to add it? Also the pack does not come with a rain cover, which is fine as we have found that a liner and no cover works better anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for your buck hauler for your girl Cant go wrong buying a deuter! This pack quickly adjusts to fit just about all body types. Have used it on overnights for up to 3 days and it makes me really happy to use. I can fit twice what i can think to bring and have many options for accessing my gear. I know other people with this bag and they rave about its performance as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy! This pack has met most of my expectations, my only complaint is that it feels a little constricting at times. This pack is great for hikes. I have gone on 3 day camping/rock climbing trips with my boyfriend and between both of our dueter packs, we were able to fit all our gear, food, clothes, and blankets/pillows. I love mine!
