Overseas traveling must have packThis past year I traveled to Asia to backpack and climb. This pack along with the Deuter ACT 55+ were by my side daily. I users the Deuter Speed lite 30 for my day pack, keeping important things, using it for multi pitch routes in thailand and vietnam and heading through the caves in Phong Nha. To make this pack easier to use while traveling I cut the frame out of the back support. The pack has a flexible bar for support, so I cut out the top loop, keeping the vertical supports for stability. This made it great for rolling up to attached to the big back and keep the volume down. try it out. This pack if the perfect size for excursions and of course traveling.

My "all-around" pack, perfect for long and light approaches, scrambles or cragging. This pack is exaclty what you are looking for if you want to go light and have a multifunction pack. Versatile enough for long approaches (hip belt pockets for energy bars, gel, etc...) and extremelly light and functional for scrambles and/or multi-pitch climbs. I found the front stuff-it pocket the perfect compartment for your approach shoes after you start climbing, plus 2 lid compartments and mesh pockets for small essentials.... Works perfectly with a 3 liter reservoir... Please note: WAIST BELT IS NOT REMOVABLE, SPECS ARE WRONG! this is the only negative in this pack... Deuter website is also wrong... Big downturn if you are looking for simplicity while climbing... Still, great pack!

Incredible pack for EVERYTHINGI do a little of everything. I scramble 11000 footers, do full day ski touring, *some* ultralight speedhiking and wanted a pack that could handle it all - instead of having 4 packs (which I did...).,,,,This pack is amazing. I received it in the mail the day before a day off and headed for the Rockies. Being able to fit ALL of my gear (jacket, poles, 2 nalgenes, jetboil, helmet, axe, miscellaneous) into a daypack that fit so well was incredible! For a top loader I was extremely pleased to see that I can still tilt my head up, even with a helmet on (something you can only do with a panel loader). The dual hipbelt pockets worked for a spot device and some cliff bars, the no-frills adjustment fit my odd frame (5'8, 40 inch torso) and will fit a variety of users, including women. Skis fit GREAT and I can't wait to get out in the winter with this pack.,,,,Need a high quality EVERYTHING pack? Moosejaw has it; it's called the speedlite 30. Thanks for shipping to Canada guys!,,,,
