Awesome Pack Back!Very well designed, and super comfy! Plenty of room for my 3 liter Camel Back, first aid kit, extra shorts, snacks, and fingerless leather gloves for hand-to-hand combat with honey badgers. The chest and waist straps distribute weight nicely and make this pack easy to wear all day. The padded shoulder straps don't dig in and are comfortable even when running around topless. The loop on the bottom of the backpack provides a convenient spot for a carabiner to carry water shoes or rock climbing shoes. Any standard waterproof cover fits nicely over this pack. I'm very happy with this product and highly recommend it to anyone doing full day hikes.

Leaving the ground? You'll need this.I'm a climber in the Moab area of Utah and have used this pack from daily errands, to climbing towers in the desert. I have hauled this pack up sandstone walls, tied to my waist dragging it through deep narrow sandstone canyons and it shows no signs of wear. The sleeve on the outside is perfect for picking up trash on the trails. I usually link it up with the deuter 2 liter streamer water system, that has a lock off valve (super important). It carries so well you have no idea it's on. It smashes down in the big back to use on out and back trips while backpacking. Can't say enough good things. Dig this rig!

Awesome packThis bag is like a swiss army knife of bags. I primarily got it to carry odds and ends while climbing, such as water, snacks, and a jacket. However, this would be perfect for running, day hikes, as a light weight summit pack from base camp, or just a general around-town bag. ,,,,It also can strap onto a larger bag, such as a Deuter Guide pack, by putting the side compression straps through the daisy chain on the larger backpack. It makes the balance of the overall load a little odd, so don't put heavy stuff in the piggy-back-pack. The compression straps will securely hold at least a 60m rope as well. I was looking at the 10L and 15L versions of this backpack as well, but the compression straps are what really sold me on the 20L version.,,,,The bag is also very comfortable and the shoulder straps and back are well padded. I like that I can get it really high on my back to keep my hips unobstructed.,,,,This is the "baby" in my family of 4 Deuter backpacks. Deuter bags are great.

Great running packUse this almost every day for a 3-5 mile run to work. It holds everything I need (underwear, socks, accessories) with room for more if needed (towel, eg). Cinches down to desired fit for almost no bumping around at all.,,,,My only gripe is that there's a lot of loose extra straps bouncing around when fully cinched. Would be great if they had some sort way to tuck them in. But this isn't a big deal, I just taped them and stopped the problem
