"Great kid's pack!" 09/30/10

My daughter - age 7 and only about 42lbs - wore this on her first overnight backpack trip. This pack seems to be built and designed very well, it's reasonably priced, and it's a good size. Capacity was key because I wanted her to carry some of her own stuff, like clothes, but not have too much extra room or she'd want to bring half her room along!The topo design on the pack *really* appealed to me, but to be honest she's indifferent to it and would probably have preferred a pink Hello Kitty design.Nice job on the side pockets, She can't really reach them on her own (no surprise) but they hold her little 16oz Nalgene bottle securely.

"The little dude loves it!" 07/04/10

And that's what I was going for. He's five and has two older brothers that just moved into the boy scouts...like their uncle :) I bought them big boy packs and couldn't leave the little man out so I decided on this.

"Great pack for the money" 03/05/10

Tha pack is great for my 11 year old son. It fits him much better than the adult packs. The geometry is perfect for his back and shoulders. Don't overload it. It is a day pack and easily holds a small sleeping bag, water and some snacks. Most people dont carry sleeping bags on day trips but I bought this for a weekend hike and campout. He was a good trooper and had a lot of fun. He felt like he was truely carrying his share of the load. Thank you,.
