"Loved it!" 01/29/12
I bought this pack in the beginning of my preparation for thru-hiking the A.T. It was not quite big enough for the trek, so I had to return it but I definitely loved it while I had it! It is very spacious and super easy to use. The air ventilation keeps you dry and constant air flowing between your back and the pack. The side pockets are stretchy to where two water bottles could have fit on both sides if desired. It has a sweet blue rain cover tucked away in its own little pocket under the sleeping bag compartment. The pack fits and sits nicely on your hips. The pack is very straight forward, it does not have a lot of excess straps or pockets.
"The last pack you will ever need" 11/09/11
Was in the market for a day pack, multi-day pack, and traveling pack and this one fit the bill. I've used it on several day hikes. I took it to Kauai to hike the Nepali coast and this was the only bag I brought with me. Packed all my clothes and gear for 7 days and it fit in the overhead with at least an inch to spare. I could have jammed more clothes in it but I didn't need to. The zippered area on the bottom is awesome to access clothes in that area without the need to unload the entire pack. The compression straps work great. Lots of smaller zippered pockets and 2 stretchy pouches on each side for more gear or Nalgene bottles. I'll be using this pack for a long time!
"Great bag!" 08/25/11
i have the older version of this bag i purchased on moosejaw and it is still a beast, holds plenty is lightweight, and has an awesome mesh on the back that prevents sweating ur shirts very well.Works like a champ and the page is made very well and designed for any hiking that is looking for a light day or 3 day backpacking pack. also great int he snow for your gear and etc.
"Best bag ever" 05/20/11
When it comes to rucksacks I look for the bag that will hold all my crap (I pack light, includes laptop) go on a trip, bring back stuff (as bulky as 6 vinyls [double disc]) and still have room to spare and use it as a carry on so I never have to check bags. Also looking to be able to have all of that stuff and still take a lengthy walk in town. Use the clips and cinchers on the sides to give this baby some lypo and suck in that fat. This bag delivers. BIG TIME. Used Deuter and Osprey in the past and Deuter is king of all. All hail the Deuter.
"Exceptional" 03/27/11
This pack is exceptional. The design of the cushions for the back of this pack are superb. They keep all the weight off of your shoulder and spine, while keeping your back dry. This backpack will hold enough gear for a 2 night and 3 day trip outdoors, depending on how you pack. It holds 55 lbs of gear comfortably, and I'm sure a bigger person could put even more in it and be totally fine. The very best part of this pack is functionality, the layout of compartments and zippers makes it incredibly easy to use and adapt to. Hot summers or freezing winters this bag is yet to let me down, and I'm begging to think it never will.
