Great Pack for a Short TripI got it home I put all my stuff in it just to be sure that it would hold everything and it did. I put it on fully loaded and then spent a good 20 minutes walking around the house, up and down the stairs. The straps never slipped nor did I ever feel like I was carrying too much. I did not, however, end up taking this pack with me on the trip. The day before we left my buddy dropped out, I had to carry the tent as well as all the rest of my stuff. I couldn't get a tent into my already stuffed bag so I had to take it back and get something bigger. I would definitely recommend this pack for anyone who is going on a short hike of 2 or 3 days.

Comfortable workhorse with styleOver the past few months, I've done wilderness overnights with this pack and hiked the Inca Trail with it too. It was my only piece of luggage for 18 days in South America as well. Through it all it functioned very well, enduring the baggage handlers and my sweat and stink. I think it's a really good looking pack too.,,,,I noticed I have a tendency (maybe you do too) of managing to fill any size bag I take with me. Choosing a 38L pack (instead of the 42L) forced some discipline on me that I really appreciated.,,,,Only thing lacking on this pack is stash slots/loops on the bottom of the back for strapping on a dangling air mattress. I had to put mine, vertically, on the side. No biggie.

Great day pack for climbing, hiking, travelI have a Deuter ACT Lite 65+, and wanted a slightly smaller bag for taking on day trips that still gave me more options than your typical school-style backpack, and this one fit the bill. Plenty of storage pockets for organizing gear that you need to access quickly, and plenty of room for all the other essentials in the main compartment. The ventilation system works great (first day out with it was over 95, and my back was definitely not as sweaty as it should've been), and the hip straps fit well and actually move with you as you walk. I have not tried to bike with it on, but my impressions from wearing it thus far lead me to believe it may be a bit bulky for that particular use, so if you are looking for a bike bag perhaps try something else. If you want a solid and roomy pack that gives you plenty of storage options, carries light, and doesn't feel bulky, look no further.

Travel light travel fastI got two of these packs for my partner and I for travel for a bit over 2 mths and couldn't be happier. Small enough to not need to check in but large enough to take all the crap you need very comfortable pack probably intended for shorter trips but travelling light is more fun. Like the included rain cover get this size and leave the hair dryer at home
