"Handles Wisconsin Well" 09/22/10
I got this baby for my winter Wisconsin camping during snowboard trips. It's as warm as a cheese curd! Seriously, I love this bag. It is warm and comfortable AND it rolls up really small making it easy to travel! If you're looking for a bag to travel with and keep you warm, check out the DreamLite.
"Awesome Summer bag!" 07/17/10
Great sleeping bag! I live in Arkansas, so getting cold in the middle of the night is not an issue... I am 5'11" and weigh 210 pounds, this sleeping bag is really snug on me. But, I bought it for warmer weather so I keep it unzipped. The size and weight is what makes this sleeping bag worth the money! It's roughly the size of a Nalgene water bottle and only weighs like 1.8 pounds! Great for lightweight backpacking and leaves plenty of room for extra gear.
"really lite but not very warm" 03/15/10
This little bag is perfect for summer trips but to call it a 40 degree bag is a joke. I used it on the AT in the smokies in mid July and was a little chili when the temp droped below 65. As long as it's warm outside and the outside temperature will stay warm then this bag is great! IT is extremely light weight and takes up about as much room as a nalgene in your pack. I'd buy it again but you had better invest in a warmer bag for fall and spring trips.
"Pretty good, depending on the weather" 07/16/09
So I bought this bag because it would be lighter weight and more compact. On that dimension I am extremely satisfied. The downsides, include the following: (1) there is little to no padding supplied, so you most definitely need some sort of thermarest...(2) if it is anything below 50-60 you are going to be chilly, although I used it for a beach trip (quite toasty) and it was great. so it is truly a summer bag. (3) In my experience I felt clammy in my bag...meaning that I had to put full clothes on and still felt like I was sweating-- but cold. I've had this experience repeatedly with this bag.
"Nice summer bag" 05/31/08
I selected this bag to hike the AT in the summer months. The lightweight, small size, and price helped make the decision. On several shake out hikes on the AT at Mt Rogers, Va the temp dropped below 50. I put on my layers and slept just fine, but definitely not a cold-weather bag. Also, there is not much wiggle room inside when fully zipped. Not a big problem for me, but I would recommend trying before buying. This bag will be in my pack this summer.
