Pack has great air ventilation and suits wellPack works out really well and fits fine...especially for someone 5'2". The biggest drawback...and one I find not insignificant....is that there is no separate and enclosed compartment for a bladder. There is just a pocket in the back of the pack into which a bladder fits, but the top half of the bladder is exposed to whatever else is in the main compartment. Bit of a drag as I like to freeze the water and you need to rig up something to protect from the condensation.

Great commuter packReally like the size for commuting. I'm small (5' 3", size 4/6p), and the pack fits me well. I'm not sure how it's fit larger (ie not-petite) women because the frame is small and the hip belt sits _just_ above my hip bones. This works for me, but I just don't know if it would for taller folks.
The main pocket is big enough for me to fit a change of clothes (minus shoes), a water bottle, a travel mug, some papers in the back laptop/bladder pocket, and snacks with some room to spare. The top small pocket has been a gem. I love that I can stash my iPod, keys, and hair ties in there because they're easy to access and put away in a secure location.
The look is terrific, too. It is a sleek, slender pack but can fit more than I anticipated without becoming bulky or cumbersome. I ride 6+ hilly miles to work every day, and it's been a great fit for me.
What does "SL" on some of the Deuter Day Packs mean?
Asked by: Inquiring Mind
Thanks for the question. The SL packs that Deuter sells are packs that are constructed with their women's specific SL carrying system. The SL system is a bit shorter than the standard length for Deuter's packs.
