Its like having a the house on your back from the movie UP. Holds a lot and doesnt hurt.I've been out backpacking and rock climbing with this pack twice a month since I got it in December. The compartments are perfect for fitting everything you can think of and they are placed in convenient locations. The buckles are sturdy and the waist belt moves with you which allows for great weight distribution. It's solid and won't rip. The zippers don't snag. The rain cover is very convenient. I found that I can even fit my rain gear inside the rain cover compartment! The sleeping bag compartment fits my Marmot Trestle bag perfectly. I am able to cary all of my climbing equipment and five days of gear in this thing and feel good about hiking.

Tank like construction, with End of the world durablityI recently purchased this backpack to replace my beloved Altra 75 I will admit I was very apprehensive about switching backpack brands, but after the first time packing it up and after 60 miles of hiking time. I will admit I no longer feel bad about switching. The durability is just plain amazing! The construction is top rate. The features are spot on for long distance hiking. If you are looking for a backpack for adventures and do not want to ever worry about it falling apart when it is handled very ruffly this is your kinda of backpack!

What does the "+10" mean in the Deuter line of packs? Is 55+10 the same as 65 in other brands?
Asked by: DL20
Thanks for reaching out to us! The "+10" means that there will be an additional 10 liters added to this pack. So, instead of getting the normal volume of 55 liters, you'll be getting 65! Hope this helped you out.
