"This is a great boot for Medium/Heavy work load. Oregon SAWMILL!"
After my Redwing Boots wore out in 6 months, I bought a pair of these bad boys in the Brown/Orange. I work at a douglas fir sawmill in Oregon running edgers and trimmers and work 11 hour shifts on catwalks and expanded metal flooring. The difference is night and day between these boots and my old Redwings. There was no break-in period, the Vibram sole lasts me about 18 months in my environment (Keen soles last about 8 months and Redwings 6 months, and Georgia soles about 4 months) and I've even climbed Diamond Peak, OR in these. Despite the 16 mile hike, scree and talus, I have yet to experience a blister from these. The comp toe is light weight and much more thermal-friendly than aluminum or steel. If you are work in the woods falling trees, or you pour cement all day, these boots are not for you. If you are constantly kneeling on your toes all day, find a boot with a better toe cap. If you need a comfy boot for a medium-heavy workload, this is your shoe.
