*Measure over your undergarments for best results

CHEST: Measure under your arms and across your shoulder blades while holding the tape firm and level. If your chest measurement is between sizes, buy the next size up.

WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline, this time keeping the tape comfortably loose.

INSEAM: Measure pants that fit you well. Lay them on a flat surface, with the front and back creased smooth. Measure along the inseam from the crotch to bottom of leg hem. You can also measure the correct inseam length without pants by measuring from your crotch to the pant length you would prefer.

TALL SIZES: For Carhartt's tall sizes, the garments are two inches longer in the length and sleeve than their regular size garments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An okay purchase. I was in desperate need of a new jacket and carhartt has a wonderful reputation for their durable and warm jackets. With that being said I started looking for jackets and came across this one. Overall this jacket is very warm and durable! The only complaint I have is that it is SO stiff. If you want a durable jacket your going to have tough fabric.. I have only worn it a few times and it is already starting to loosen up. Another thing is you should be really careful when choosing the size. I am 5'11" so first I got the Large/Reg I got it and it was so baggy. I sent it back and got a Medium/Reg and it fits perfect. Overall this is a very nice jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT JACKET W/1 SMALL? GRIPE. Ok so I DO LIKE THIS JACKET,The only thing I do not like about it is the zipper cover flaps,I wish they were larger and or probably one would need to go over the other. As it is the two flaps do not quite come together and so they leave a gap where air can get through the zipper, may seem like a small thing, but I feel the draft and do NOT like it.I have had jacket for about a year now,I noticed the zipper gap thing right away, rather than the flaps laying flat, they stick out at an angle,I WAS HOPING THEY WOULD FLATEN OUT/ come together AFTER SOME USE,but it has not happened yet :( IF Carhartt would fix this I would be 100% happy about it ,rather than 90% happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always warm First bought this coat with some regrets due to the stiffness of the fabric and just figuring it wouldn't keep me warm here in the nice cold Minnesota winters. But after a few times out with this coat and it has changed my mind and everything I might have once thought about the coat. This coat is very warm and does great here in the wind and snow that we have been having of late. Today was one of the windiest days on record here in Minnesota and I can honestly say I was hot with this coat on and the temps never got above 5 degrees. This coat is well worth the money and the little bit of stiffness that you have to deal with just remember this coat keeps me warm here in Minnesota it will work for you in your state.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmest Ever I bought this jacket for our Annual New Years trip to the high desert. The weather drops to freezing temperatures where we camp and I wanted to be sure that I would be warm for the trip. It didn't dissapoint. It kept me warm all week long. It was very comfortable and durable. As avid Offroaders I wanted something that would be warm and hold up to some abuse and not be to bulky, this did it all. My husband tried to steal it multiple times so I will definitely be buying another one soon. I also loved all the pockets it had, I was able to carry my keys, phone and camera, gloves and glasses with me all week long and not have to worry about losing them. I would deffinitely recommend this to some one that wanted a great warm jacket!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting. After reading glowing reviews of the product I figured I would give it a shot. First thing I noticed were the un-lined pockets. Seriously? 120 dollar jacket designed for "arctic temperatures" and you just sew a flap of material on? Secondly, this particular material will take months to work in. I understand it's made for extreme durability, but what do you do in the mean time, look like a fool with your hood laying in some ridiculous position? Thirdly, I purchased an XL/TL and it had so much extra bulk around the belly and just barely enough length im 5'10. If I had sized down to a L/TL it would have been even shorter. I returned the jacket the next day. I know there are many many people on here that are thrilled with the product, I am just not one of them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible Fit Lemme start by saying that I grew up in a blue collar family in Detroit. I love Carhartt products. Bought this coat to withstand the frigid temps of Duluth, MN. This is the absolute worst tailored jacket I've ever tried on. Im 6ft tall, 170 lbs, bought the large. The bottom of the jacket didnt even come down to my waist, sleves were too short, and the jacket puffed out around the belly and chest making me look like the Michelin Man. Honestly, no exxageration this coat seems like it's tailored for a 5'5" 300lb man.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cold weather coat. The coat keeps me very warm working outside all day in twenty degree weather, and is windproof as claimed. It's pretty stiff at first, especially the hood, but it gets better after the coat is worn for a while. Fits a little looser around the middle than I would prefer, but I'm a tall and skinny guy so that isn't too out of the ordinary. Also, it has been seeing some pretty serious wear over the past few months and isn't really showing it at all. Overall a good purchase if you need solid cold weather work coat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Poor Fit the jacket is awesome by every means except for fit, for some reason it is way short, and I own a bunch of carhartt gear, including jackets, and this one is way shorter than the rest, the kind of short like when you bend over and the jacket is half way up your back, besides that, very warm and very comfortable, hopefully I just had a bad one that went under the radar at the quality control center, I think this was my third season using it and there is not a tougher jacket out there, I just wear longer shirts!
