CARHARTT FIT GUIDE and INFO

*Measure over your undergarments for best results

CHEST: Measure under your arms and across your shoulder blades while holding the tape firm and level. If your chest measurement is between sizes, buy the next size up.

WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline, this time keeping the tape comfortably loose.

INSEAM: Measure pants that fit you well. Lay them on a flat surface, with the front and back creased smooth. Measure along the inseam from the crotch to bottom of leg hem. You can also measure the correct inseam length without pants by measuring from your crotch to the pant length you would prefer.

TALL SIZES: For Carhartt's tall sizes, the garments are two inches longer in the length and sleeve than their regular size garments.

Regular, Short, and Tall Sizes

Coveralls: The tall sizes are 1" longer than regular sizes, the tall sleeve lengths are 1" longer than regular sleeve lengths, and the short sleeve lengths are 1" shorter than regular sleeve lengths. This DOES NOT apply to the Carhartt Men's Yukon Coverall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase for water and wind! This jacket is great, I originally purchased it because of the warmth and general all over quality feeling. I noticed right away when I stepped outside that this jacket is really good at deflecting wind! Even though this is not the intended purpose. It is a little itchy right out, but once it's on and worn for a little bit, the itch and ruffness disappears. It is not a cotton lined thermal, it is synthetic, so don't buy this for cotton comfort. The jacket also runs huge. I am a 5' 10" 230lb male that usually wears an XL. However a medium fits great! It's perfect in length and fit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hooded zip-front sweatshirt I'm 57 years old and have had more of these than I can count. Usually comfortable but thin cotton and great for a quick run or to keep you warm from the car to the restaurant but that's about it. This is very comfortable but heavy material. I've not worn it in the rain yet though it is supposed to repel water. Much warmer than products like this I've had in the past and a nice inside zipper pocket comes in handy for small items. More expensive than most hoodies but I bet I'll have this one longer than my last 4 combined. Good purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good overall but not excellent A good warm and comfortable sweatshirt. The big zipper pull is nice to grab with gloves on but gets easily caught in dryer vents and breaks off easily. Carhart has sent replacement zippers to my coworkers in the past but that is no longer the case. Instead of buying a new one. Based on cost, I will buy a second Jerzees and double up. My Jerzees is just as old and the zipper is still attached and works fine. Plus a fraction of the cost. The Carharts I have looked at are made in Mexico so it not like they are hiring USA workers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hoodie This hoodie is really nice! I have it paired with the Carhartt sandstone traditional coat and between the two of these items, I'm nice and toasty on the coldest nights so far here in Chicago. The water repellency is fantastic as it hasn't soaked up water from the snow and has kept me dry in the rain. It also looks great and I wear it outside of work as well. Pros: warm, water repellency works, durable, great quality Cons: None

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Itchy/uncomfortable when I ordered this sweatshirt. It read "thermal lined". So I automatically thought it was a soft cotton lining similar or identical to a cotton thermal t-shirt.. You'd figure it would be super comfortable, right? When it was delivered to my house, I pulled it out of the box and put it on and immediately felt that the "thermal" fabric wasn't my idea of what "thermal" was. The best material I can compare it to is a type of Textile material #similar to motorcycle jackets# It feels very rough and is itchy at times, and it just doesn't feel good against the skin at all. Besides the lining being uncomfortable.. You can tell the sweatshirt is very tough and durable. It is nice and thick, has a durable zipper that will last the life of the sweatshirt. My advise to you is to stick to the non thermal lined hoodies Runs a little large.. I am 6'2 250 lbs and have room to go down to a large/tall

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design needs some work. Overall this is a good sweatshirt - warm, comfortable, repels water. Only issue is the hood is far too small. I have a relatively small head, and the hood only covers the back 2/3 of it. When I purchase a hooded sweatshirt, I prefer the hood to be large enough to come over my entire head and hang over a bit in the front to keep rain off my face, but this doesn't come close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heart Doctor loves it A terrific easy on and easy off sweatshirt. I use it for all my Ohio winter needs to and from the hospital, dog walking, and any short time outside uses. You don't need your parka unless you are going to be outside for longer periods. A great car driving coat because the fit is loose and gives great mobility. When it is cold in northern Ohio this ismy first go to coat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Carhartt lets on. I bought this to, in a way, replace a heavier coat I would wear a thin sweater under - now with this sweatshirt, I can wear it under a larger old Dickie's Eisenhower coat to keep it protected from damage. Super thick, super comfortable, and very warm. Fits great in the car, not too bulky to wear around the house, either, although I will say it's not a slimming look. I wear a medium shirt, sometimes a large, but only a small Carhartt sweatshirt is a decent fit - the medium makes me look like I borrowed my dad's clothes. The water-resistance is unmatched, though - I wore this for hours over a tee-shirt up Mt. Rose yesterday boarding/tubing/sledding, and even though I was COVERED in snow, this jacket kept everything under it bone dry and warm in below freezing weather - I'm not sure what they do to water-proof it, but it manages to keep the wind out better than any other sweatshirt I've ever used, too. I plan to buy another - one for working, and another to just wear out when it's cold. A+++
