*Measure over your undergarments for best results

CHEST: Measure under your arms and across your shoulder blades while holding the tape firm and level. If your chest measurement is between sizes, buy the next size up.

WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline, this time keeping the tape comfortably loose.

INSEAM: Measure pants that fit you well. Lay them on a flat surface, with the front and back creased smooth. Measure along the inseam from the crotch to bottom of leg hem. You can also measure the correct inseam length without pants by measuring from your crotch to the pant length you would prefer.

TALL SIZES: For Carhartt's tall sizes, the garments are two inches longer in the length and sleeve than their regular size garments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BUY!!! :] I love the purchase I made. I thought the price was very reasonable, for the comfort, and quality of the Sandstone Ridge Coat. I bought it for my boyfriend for Christmas and he said he absolutely loves it. The durability of it is also very good, the quality is awesome, and the amount of pocket space is a plus, it does keep you very warm on those cold days when you have to shovel/work outside! and the fit was perfect. I would and I do recommend it to anyone who does any kind of work outside, they are work coats, but they also look good to wear just as a casual jacket whenever its cold. The appearance does fit the type of jacket that it is. Again, I would recommend it to anyone!! =)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME I am blown away with this coat!!! i bought this coat thinking it would be good for the autumn months in Upstate NY. We're well into a frozen winter, -10 averages temps, and this coat is still keeping me warm. During the cold months of sub zero temps with snow I wear a base layer and this coat with my Carhartt Bib Overalls and I am just fine to work outside all day. The ONLY complaint I have is that the sherpa lining doesn't go down the sleeves, its the arctic quilt in the sleeves, which is nice too but... I like the sherpa; I think it traps more air and keeps you warmer than the quilting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My search is over! Living in Ohio the weather changes from day to day. It'll be 10 one day 40 the next with plenty of wind during the winter season. This coat exceeds all my expectations. I don't like bulky heavy coats and for it's weight it'll keep you warm in the cold and breaths nicely for the warmer days when a lighter coat could be used. With the sherpa lining wind is no match for this coat. I'm 6' / 185lbs so got the large tall. Fits perfect with plenty of room to move. Construction of the coat is bar none. It's a Carhartt and lives up to it's reputation. I've searched all over and tired many different brands of coats for the perfect coat to wear from cool fall days to cold winter days, my search is over! Thank you Carhartt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At Home On The Range Carhartt Designers hit a homerun with the C61 Ridge Coat. I am a fan of most Carhartt products but this coat takes the cake. The sherpa lining is comfortable and the styling is classic. It is not the warmest coat for below freezing weather but it is warm enough for most conditions. The fit is good, arm movement is unrestricted and the length is long enough for those of us with a gut. I prefer Carhartt jackets and coats with the bi-swing back and pleated elbows this coat has both. My only complaint is the inside pockets are smaller than I would like them to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremily Strong Warm Durable Coat This is my first Carhartt coat. This one isnt the one that I originally wanted. The one I wanted to get was the traditional duck coat. However when I went to the shop that sells these coats where I live ~ they had this one instead. I tried on several other coats similar to the traditional duck coat/quilted lining. But I kept going back to this sherpa lined duck coat. It just fit better and felt right. The coat not only is built to last from what I hear but the quality and weight of this coat is by far hands down world class the best. Outstanding coat by an outstanding company.Again this is my first Carhartt coat ~ I did also purchase a thick Carhartt flanel shirt along with my purchase. This coat is extremily warm ~ the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cold Weather Coat I bought this coat three years ago to wear during the cold winter months up hear in northern Connecticut. I wear this jacket from mid December to mid Febuary when it gets too warm to wear such a warm coat. It's great for wearing in old plow trucks that have holes in the floorboards and for snowblowing with the snow coming back and blasting you in the face. My friend spotted me in this jacket 3 years ago when we were plowing/ snowblowing and immediatly went out and bought one to replace his skiing style winter coat, his is still going strong just like mine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket! This coat is excellent quality and has served me well this winter. It's great for cold weather (I live in Alaska and when i wear this jacket outside i don't need any additional layers underneath.) It's rugged and it keeps you warm but at the same time it's light enough not to be cumbersome or sweaty when worn indoors. The coat looks and feels great, Sherpa lining is very comfortable. The durability is unquestionable as this coat, like most Carhartt products, is built like a tank and i have no doubt that this product will last for years to come. The only issue I had with this coat was that it didn't fit exactly right... I bought a small and it was still just a little too big, but that's just 'cause I'm kind of scrawny. Overall, I'm glad i bought it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great long term investment. Well designed and constructed. Fits well and moves easily. Very durable. Warm enough for the Southern US, and can add a fleece jacket underneath for really cold weather. Breathes well in humid cold weather. Fleece lining is warm and comfortable. Large pockets, and the hand warmer pockets include fleece on the front side. It would be nice if the fleece were on both sides of the pocket! Two generous interior pockets and a zipped outer chest pocket for cell phone or wallet. A coat you can really live with; for a long time!
