CARHARTT FIT GUIDE and INFO

*Measure over your undergarments for best results

CHEST: Measure under your arms and across your shoulder blades while holding the tape firm and level. If your chest measurement is between sizes, buy the next size up.

WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline, this time keeping the tape comfortably loose.

INSEAM: Measure pants that fit you well. Lay them on a flat surface, with the front and back creased smooth. Measure along the inseam from the crotch to bottom of leg hem. You can also measure the correct inseam length without pants by measuring from your crotch to the pant length you would prefer.

TALL SIZES: For Carhartt's tall sizes, the garments are two inches longer in the length and sleeve than their regular size garments.

Regular, Short, and Tall Sizes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product but runs big. I bought this a month ago and the jacket is awesome. It is the perfect combination of rugged, warm, light-weight, and rain resistant. It rained the first weekend I got it, and I just happen to be outside in it a little, and it was great. Very Warm. My only complaint is that it is huge!! It is not too long, but it is very big. I could probably probably put multiple jacket on underneath and still have room to zip another person outside. I am not skinny and have a very broad, athletic build and other Carhartt's I tried on at some stores fit me perfectly in a Large but not this jacket. But still is a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit! I bought this for my husband for his birthday. It is so hard to buy jackets for him because he is tall, yet slender so he needs an XL generally just for the length but then it is way too wide. I found that Moosejaw carried this jacket in Large Tall and it fits him wonderfully! It's a lighter winter jacket with great features and a wonderful fit. He's a big Carhartt fan and I generally don't care for the looks of Carhartt products but him and I could both agree on this jacket. It is more stylish than your typical Carhartt coats, but yet very practical and functional, true to the Carhartt brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband likes it and he's super picky! This jacket is great for people who want the warmth and durability of a Carhartt jacket but not the bulk and muscle fatigue of wearing a heavy duty Carhartt jacket. We live in Vermont, and it snows. It snows a lot. My husband goes out to shovel in a hooded sweatshirt most of the time so that he can move comfortably while shoveling. This resulted in soaking wet sweatshirts and a cold, cranky husband. He's bought winter jackets before but they end up in the closet because they are "too bulky" so after reading the reviews on this he put it on his wish list for his birthday. He got it on Sunday and has not stopped raving about it. Also, I think he likes the fact that he's a bigger guy and usually wears a 2x shirt but in this jacket he takes a large. He wears a hoodie under it and there's plenty of room still. ,,In conclusion, it's great for your average guy who just wants a warm jacket while he's shoveling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I received this jacket as gift from my wife. I like that it's not the typical elastic waist band type jacket, but does have the draw strings. It is very comfortable, and keeps you warm. I spilt a drink on it and I beaded right off. One of if not the best jackets I have ever owned. However, I am 6' 3" and weigh 165, or tall and skinny, I usually wear a large for length. I ordered the large tall, and it was way to big. I ordered the medium, and it fits perfect. Length and size is just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! I bought this coat for my 15 year old. He wanted something durable enough for camping and hiking, but thin enough to still fit into his school locker. This coat is fabulous! The quality is great -- it seems like it will really last. It has multiple pockets, and is surprisingly warm for its weight. It's a really nice coat and I would highly recommend it! (For sizing reference, he is 5' 7" and thin - the small fits him well enough with still plenty of room for him to grow.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still a Carhartt.... I purchased the new "quick duck" relying on reviews and descriptions without actually touching it in person. The material seems too thin, too fragile for my purposes, and the sizing runs much larger; I have worn a L/R for 25 years (6' 1" 190) but this one swallowed me....but, it's still a Carhartt, so I'm sure it will provide good service and the brand is the only reason I give it three stars. I exchanged mine for sandstone, but that's just my preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for work My wife got me this jacket for the Holiday. She knew I needed a tough coat for construction sites, a warm coat for the winter and a coat that looked sharp enough for meetings. This coat does the trick. I look professional enough for shirt and tie meetings and then am able to run off to the work site and don't have to worry about mud, nails and dust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carhartt for the win I love it. I wanted a carhartt that I could wear to work. This is a different style carhartt (and more professional in my opinion) than what you can normally find at the coop or TSC. The big pockets are nice for gloves or a hat. It is a little thinner than a normal carhartt but i have stayed just as warm.
