Learn to love your tricams!Tricams are sort of exotic gear, at least in Europe. Most people use SLCDs or stoppers, and don't consider buying tricams. But tricams are often the best and only choice for protecting in holes or in horizontal placements, even with flexible stem SLCDs. Tricams can also work better as stoppers than the ordinary ones, when the crack is narrowing down very quickly. Ordinary stoppers would just rattle around.,,,,In May 2013 I climbed in Yosemite with an American. He loved his tricams, over SLCDs. After that I work to learn to love my tricams. I am almost there. You have to work on that relationship. You will not fall in love on first sight.
