Excellent dual-purpose helmet.I was looking for a helmet I could safely use for both skiing and mountaineering/ice-climbing (occasionally in the same day). This is the one, and it looks at home both on the slopes and frozen waterfalls. Great coverage (especially forehead and base of skull), fairly light, very durable. If you intend to use it for skiing, the winter kit (with ear-covers and foam plugs for the vents) is essential. One note: I measured right in the middle of the two sizes, and I'm glad I got the large. The fit is almost snug. Definitely size-up if you're on the fence or intend to wear a headband or hat underneath it. Also, I haven't used it for summer rock-climbing, but I imagine it will be warmer than a dedicated rock helmet.

Comfortable, light, dual purposeI've had this helmet for over a year now and still think it's great. It's comfortable, light and can be used when I'm mountain biking. I bought it for the dual purpose as well as the additional winter kit that is available.
