Easy to use with great resultsThis is my first smoker. I have a friend who has a propane smoker and a charcoal smoker, so I have seen how they operate. This one is by far simpler to use and has great features, especially for its price. I looked around and compared brands and reviews and I think this smoker really lives up to its reputation. The large hopper can feed all day so you are not constantly adding more fuel and wood chips. The temperature control works well and the meat probe is accurate (I have checked against another instant read probe I have). The ash cup and grease cup work really well, so cleanup is simple. I would agree with others who comment that pellet smokers don't have as strong as a smoke flavor, but it's definitely still there and plenty enough for me. Looking forward to many years of slow cooked food!

Smoken Joe from
Not a bad amateur smoker.Okay smoker and got it on sale. You'll need a welding blanket to help regulate the temp so it doesn't fluctuate too much. The unit is made of pretty thin metal. Those are 50-60 bucks on Amazon. Make sure you get the thick leather one. Moosejaw needs to also stop using ups. My unit was really beat up on delivery. Camp Chef had to send me several parts that were damaged. Moosejaw gave me a 25% back for the inconvenience.

Nice smokerI've had this a month. It is very nice. Good even cooking and smoke. All the extra features make it worth the extra cost over some other brands. Legs are a little wimpy. Probably will order a jerky rack. Otherwise...very content.
