"A great hydration pack for day hikes!" 05/25/11
I took the Day Star on her maiden journey last weekend for some rugged hiking. This is my first women's-specific pack. The shoulder straps fit my shoulders and it sits nicely on my back. The pockets are big enough to stuff some lunch, layers, and bug spray in. I was concerned that this pack didn't have a waist strap, but the chest strap is more than enough to keep the pack in place. It was great for the three day-hikes that we took and I would recommend it to women that are looking for a pack that is small enough to carry around all day but big enough to cram some stuff into for long days.
