"meh....good not great" |
12/19/09 |
| It does exactly what it was supposed to do but, like others, I was a little dissapointed with the bulk. If you need a camelback, make sure to check out several in person (before you come back here to buy, of course) and/or pay close attention to dimensions and weight in descriptions. Factor in the weight of the water and how much you really need for your average hike. | |

"Works, holds a good amount but accessories might help" |
11/04/09 |
| Holds plenty for weekend backpacking trips. Depending on how far you are going and how much water you need for cooking you might not even need to refill it. Ive had some issues with plastic taste but havn't yet tried cleaning tablets. I'm hoping those will solve that problem. Ive also had issues with the water in the tube being warm on hot summer days making it so you have to take a mouth full of warm water before you get to the cold stuff. Im thinking that insulation for the tube might help this issue. | |

"Heavy, but definitely did its job!" |
08/18/09 |
| This shell of the water bottle was pretty heavy, but if you're willing to take the time to remove it, it's perfect (or if you have a really good backpack). It didn't taste like plastic, which is always a plus. | |

"Great Camelback" |
08/12/09 |
| This is a great camelback if you already have a backpack for whatever it is you plan on needing a camelback for. It is much more convenient than carrying the number of bottles it would take to have competent volume. My only comlaint is alot of times when you go to fill it the bladder is twisted and it is kind of hard to tell so it splashes back on you without warning which really is no big deal. all in all great by my standards. "Good bottle, a little bulky" |
04/14/09 |
| This bottle fits well with my Osprey Atmos 65 pack, takes up a little more room on the inside than I would like and is a bit bulky to fit in the back panel. Works great though and tastes a lot less plasticy than other bladders I have tried. | |

"damn good bladder" |

| I just took this climbing in Colorado and it worked great. It came in handy considering these new backpacks do not have water bottle pockets. I would recommend this bladder any day | |

"STILL PRETTY GOOD" |
07/21/08 |
| The intended use for this item was mountaineering. I found it to be a little too heavy and bulky with all the outer materials. Anyway, you can take the water bag out in a not very easy process, though and reduce the weight considerably. The rest of it is great, the mouth piece particularly comfortable. All in all, it is still a good item to buy... but first check out the MSR water bags. | |

"Great product. Make sure your backpack is hydration compatible" |
07/13/08 |
| We bought two of these for skiing in Norway and the Alps. Hurray! The insulation works great and gives the bladder a more rugged look. Without it looks like hospital equipment. The insulation probably prolongs the lifespan of this product too. We also included the CamelBak Thermal Control Kit. This prevented the water from freezing outside the bladder on cold days. On summer hiking in Norway, we discovered much to our surprise, it kept the water chilled in the tube too. Had not thought of that. Hot zips of water does NOT taste as good as cold when you are sweating your way up the hills | |

"Excellent, especially for the price." |
07/10/08 |
| Excellent product. I bought this CamelBak to use in my Aura 65 pack, and was originally considering purchasing just a simple 2L bladder. But to my dismay this insulated one was just a few dollars more. What's more is this one comes with the locking 90 degree angle mouth piece with a bite guard that is difficult to find as an add on to a hose. Also the insulating isn't bulky, fit well in my pack. | |
