Used one of these the other day, they seemed to work very well, my water doesn't taste any differant, they didn't leave a residue and they didn't smell funny.
It does what it's supposed to do, it cleans out your pack's bladder and gets it ready for more fresh sparkly water. It seems like it keeps it fresh for longer too, but I haven't run a scientific study so I really can't say for sure. I've used them in bladders other than Camelbaks and they work just fine for Nalgenes and others.
The tabs are prety good for getting rid of all of the little creatures that have stowed in my camelback along the years. However, it doesn't seem to get the ones hiding in the tube. I will have to try them one more time to see if they can catch those stowed in my tube. If not, I may just have to buy a new tube and replaces mine. Oh well, life goes on and get outside and start having some fun.
These CamelBack Cleaning tablets worked great in my CamelBack. The tablets are a hell of a lot easier to use than trying to clean it on your own! You also can put Gatorade or other flavored drinks into your Camelback without the fear of tasting it for days after. Wonders I tell you, they work wonders.
