For my usage, mainly day hikes less than 10 miles, this pack is the perfect size. The camel-bak is the right size for the trips I take, I've never ran it dry. The construction seems superb, no issues so far with anything, including webbings, zippers, pockets, seems, etc. Pockets are laid out logically, straps are comfortable. The only little thing that I would change, is the trekking poles position. My girlfriend's pack has the trekking pole holders centered in the back of the pack on top and bottom, instead of them on the sides like mine is. I would easily recommend this pack to others.
My husband used this pack for several day hikes in the Smoky Mountains last year. He loved it. There is plenty of room for everything you need to have with you on a day hike- first aid kit, fleece jacket, rain gear, extra socks, snacks... and the camera for taking pics of all those waterfalls. The 100 oz water bladder is fantastic. The loops for trekking poles were very convenient. His only complaint was the lack of a rain cover but luckily we only had 1 day when it would have been helpful due to drizzle. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hydration pack that is roomy enough for day hikes or even short overnight trips.
