We've come a long way since Scotchgarded flannel was considered technical snowboard gear. But for riders who want to respect the roots yet enjoy the comforts of modern day waterproof/breathable protection, the Burton Heritage Ranger Jacket offers the best of both eras. Cotton oxford fabric shows throwback style on the exterior, while a mapped taffeta lining warms up the inside. Venting Pit Zips and ample pocketing exceed the modern standard but stay true to the roots. The Heritage Fit is custom to the collection with a slightly longer and more tailored design that functions and looks good on and off the mountain.

If you haven't heard of GORE-TEX by now, you've probably been living under a rock. And that would make sense, because living under a rock is probably the only place where you wouldn't need the durable waterproof and windproof protection that GORE-TEX fabrics offer. So when you're ready to venture out from under your rock, arm yourself with the comfortable protection of GORE-TEX.
