"keep it simple, guys"  02/26/08

Firstly, it is a Brunton so of course it's a decent quality, but it's not great. The removable rubber footie deal on the bottom has the potential to be handy, but it translates more often than not to awkward and I never take it out with me. Brunton tried to pack this with lots of handy features but in reality, a simple no frills quality compass would have been more in keeping with my tastes. I don't think this is something that I would have purchased had I seen it in person first, but it's a good compass and will serve its purpose. They throw in a little flip book of survival tips and compass how-to's...so that's a very small plus.
