"Practical, affordable compass."  06/05/10

Everything you need in a compass. Tons of easy to use features. Could use a lanyard.

"Small and light"  04/09/10

I bought this compass to replace a larger, heavier model. It is small, extremely lightweight, and very accurate. The rubberized dial is easy and smooth to turn. The mirror and sighting hole make eye-level bearings easy to read. The clinometer is a nice touch. Downsides: it doesn't have a global needle, and must be kept level for the needle to rotate freely. The declination is not adjustable, and the fixed declination scale can be difficult to read. The lid cannot be laid flat with the baseplate to extend the ruler.
