"Best harness for a newbie and for the price!" 04/17/13
I'm a beginning climber and after talking with some randos I found at the store I was told this model of Black Diamond harness would be the best bang for my buck. It turns out the randos were right. It's a great standard harness and will see me through for a few years to come. I chose the blue because I try not to look so damn girly all the time. It's not a bad color, still pretty girly though.
"A comfortable harness at a great value" 04/01/13
Overall, I like this harness a lot. It's comfortable and the speed adjust buckles are great. It fits me a little weird--I have to wear it higher on my waist than most harnesses, but I think that's my short waist's fault more than the harness'. If I got nit-picky, the back loop's a bit lower than I'd prefer for a chalk bag, and the folded and stitched end on the waist strap is a little annoying to work through the loops that hold the excess, but overall, for the price, this is a fantastic comfortable harness. I'm 5'7", 130 lbs and I got the small, which is almost too big, so it runs on the large side, in my opinion.
"A great harness, for beginners or moderate climbers" 04/17/12
This was my first harness purchase, then my second when that one was retired. I have no complaints with it. It fits well, and it comfortable enough to sit in for a while at the gym or on the crag. The gear loops are well-placed, too. If I did a lot of multi-pitching I might want to upgrade to a better model, but this one suits my needs perfectly.
"Great harness!" 07/29/11
This was my first harness but I'm very happy with the purchase! I got it last winter as I started getting into climbing. It was a great deal and I'm very happy with the choice. I'd suggest this to other new climbers! You can't go wrong!
"Perfect and Comfortable!" 01/06/11
This harness has the double backing system for safety and the second loop for hooking the carabiner which is convenient, plus it has cushioned waist band etc, which makes this a super comfortable harness. It never bothers me when I climb which compared to some is a big step up! It is so important that your harness not hinder you while climbing and this one was well worth the money! LOVE IT! Get it!!
"Great harness for beginners and experts." 10/13/10
This was my first harness and I absolutely love it. The speed adjust legs and waist band make it easy to get on and off without having to double back the buckles. Also the detachable straps in the back make bathroom breaks a breeze. Overall it has been durable and sturdy. It is true to size. I am a size 8 and the medium is a perfect fit for me. This harness is great quality and a great price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for strength and comfort.
"The Bomb" 03/13/10
Bought this harness 2 1/2 years ago and absolutely love it! Very comfortable, lightweight and durable! My favorite feature is the detachable straps in the back for going to the little girls room without taking the harness off. Brilliant. Why doesn't everyone make their harnesses that way?
"Super comfy" 01/20/10
This harness is very comfortable! Very easy & quick to put on. My only issue involves the leg loops...they are starting to fray a bit. Just contacted BD & they said to send it in. Hopefully they'll be able to replace it. If not, I would still buy another of these. Of all the harnesses I've had, its the most comfortable & convenient!
