The Women's Primrose AL Harness by Black Diamond is a four-season all-arounder. Designed with a women-specific longer rise and waist-to-legs ratio, the Primrose AL has traditional buckles on the waist and leg loops that allow fit to be dialed in depending on activity and clothing layers. The padded leg loops and bullhorn-shaped waistbelt take the ache out of those hanging belays, and when it's your turn to lead, the four pressure-molded gear loops carry the entire rack comfortably. The Primrose AL also comes with detachable/adjustable rear risers and a 15 kn-rated haul loop for the trail line.

"Best for ladies!" 05/03/13
My girlfriend love it, her have the product for less than a year, the harness (despite my small size) fits me perfectly and comfortably, especially for long and strenuous climbs. There's plenty of places to put carabiners and other gear and it is definitely beginner-friendly for any female who just began rock climbing. I would recommend this product to any female climber searching for a safe and comfortable harness.
"Comfortable, Reliable, and Good Looking Too!" 04/17/13
I bought this harness after testing several other brands and styles on outdoor pitches, and I have to say that the Black Diamond harnesses were by far the most comfortable for belaying and climbing. I bought the Primrose because it was the only Black Diamond women's harness on sale, and it has not disappointed at all. I've been wearing it for several weeks now and it seems like it just keeps getting more comfortable. It will probably prove to be a bit hot in the summer, but for winter and spring I have no complaints!SarahTX
"Comfy and Get's the Job Done" 04/01/13
Got this recently so I could stop renting the super uncomfortable harnesses at my local rock gym. It's a great harness for the price. Padding is comfortable and the tightening mechanisms work well!! Definitely a great buy for the price
"Recommended" 01/19/13
I've had many friends ask me which harness to get and I immediately recommend this one. I've had mine for about a year and I have loved every second of it. It is light and easy to put on. It is great for attaching gear. It is incredible comfortable whether you're belaying on the ground, doing a hanging belay, carrying lots of gear, or sending a big wall. It's a great harness and would definitely get it again.
"Gets the Job done safely and comfortably" 10/22/12
I got the primrose when I was new to climbing and still feel that it is the right harness for me after many uses. I was able to climb with the primrose through the first trimester of pregnancy. After that, the waist was becoming snug and the pressure it placed on my abdomen was uncomfortable. I jumped back into this harness at six weeks post partum without any issues. There was enough slack in the waist to accomodate the extra baby weight while still double backing securely.
"Does its job" 09/19/12
This harness does the job. It was my first harness, and I still use it at the climbing gym. The gear loops are probably my favorite feature of the harness. They are a great size and angle. The only complaint I have it that it is not very breathable. When I would wear in in the summer and take it off, I would have a giant sweatband along my waist. Other than that, it's still a great harness. Not as comfortable as a Petzl, but it works.
"Great basic harness" 07/21/12
I really like this harness because of its fit and comfort level. The fit is flawless (I'm a size 2-4 and the xs fits my waist perfectly), and the padding is just right. It weighs virtually nothing, so I don't even really think about the fact that I've got it on. I wish the leg loops were a little more adjustable, but it's a harness I see myself using for a very long time.
"Get it!" 06/17/12
I got this harness for my girlfriend so we could climb together. She loves the comfort, style, color, and I love the price! We both have recently started climbing so not much to compare it to but no need, it works great!
"Not as high quality as other black diamond harnesses" 06/15/12
I needed a super small harness for the young lady, and this harness worked well with sizing. I'm a big black diamond fan, however, my other harnesses were more versatile. I like that this has a womens cut, but the legs don't tighten well, for that matter they don't come apart either, kind of a mess to put on. It's a good harness, not a great one.
