"Ok but not the best for folks with sweaty hands like me" 05/06/13
I didn't find this to be much different from the other popular brands. The grind is not as fine as the Metolius super fine or Red Pine's dyno chalk. As such, it doesn't stick as quickly. Yes, quickly. With very fine grind, I get a nice coating with just a quick grab or pat but with courser grind I need to squeeze and massage it a little more to get a nice covering. Probably not a problem for most folks but my sweaty hands forces me to chalk up every few moves and with this White Gold, it takes me a couple of extra seconds each time. That makes a big difference when the arms are already pumped and you're on an overhang.
"For the Clams" 03/07/13
I have the sweatiest hands when it comes to climbing, and White Gold is amazing for absorbing all the unwanted moisture. I borrowed another brand of chalk from a friend because I was running low one day, and I actually don't think it was as effective for me. I definitely don't chalk up as often when using White Gold. When it comes down to it, it's a tad bit more costly than other brands (I tried it because it was on sale), but worth it!
"just alright" 11/25/12
It seems to take a lot of check to keep my hands and my daughters from feeling sweaty. It does not break up that easily kind of stays in bb size pieces. I have to use a hammer to smash it in to smaller chunks and it makes a mess. Not the best stuff I have ever used.
"Great Chalk!" 10/31/12
Really happy with this purchase! There is a great mixture of small clumps and loose powder. Drys hands really well and feels smooth. Really good for gym climbing in the summer. Will definitely continue to purchase this chalk in the future.

"Great Stuff" 12/20/11
Hard to screw up chalk so luckily Black Diamond didn't. Whole family uses this in our chalk bucket for bouldering and in the chalk socks we use for roped climbing. Prefer the uncut version especially for bouldering because the chunks allow me to pick and choose where I chalk up. Feels good, lasts long. Good stuff.
