Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet, need bigger size I took this helmet on a trip and really wanted to like it. I'm giving it five - what are those, moose? Mooses? Five meese. However, I had trouble getting it to fit my enormous head. I have a particularly huge head, so I hate to blame the helmet. We finally got it to fit properly by moving all sliders/positioners out to their fullest position (and then some, I think). The helmet itself is very light, feels very strong and safe, and vents well. For anyone that has a head within the normal human range, I think this would be a perfect helmet. It also looks great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, more coverage, pretty stylish Picked this up to replace my BD Half Dome. The Vector is a great helmet. It's super light, it has lots of ventilation, and it's got a nice look to it. It feels like it has a bit more coverage in the back of the head than the plastic Half Dome–style helmets, which is cool. Sometimes if you tighten it down a bunch the end of the little adjustment strap in the back will dig in behind your ear, and it's hard plastic, so that's kind of a bummer. But the whole package is well-made and feels secure. Four stars! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light as a feather bought this helmet for my son to wear at the gym and to also use at camp on the outdoor wall. he will wear this as it is so light on his head that he forgets it is there.,,the shell is like an egg he says really light but also super strong. The fit is super easy to adjust and it breaths really well. He wont wear a bike helmet but will always grab this on his way out the door. I say that is fine as anything is better than nothing

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and packable. Okay, I'm not really a B A Mo Fo, but I've always wanted to be! But I have been climbing for 20 years or so, and I've had a simple hard plastic Petzl shell helmet for about 18 years, so that's what I have to compare to here. The Petzl was/is solid. It was never very comfortable as the ratchet system in it pinched the front and back of my head, while not even touching the sides, but it definitely stood up to a lot of rocks as well as being crammed ungraciously into packs. Now that I'm all grown up, I thought just maybe I could by a new helmet purely for comfort. This new BD Vector IS very comfortable, so that alone gets it 4 stars. But will it hold up? It just feels light and delicate, and while I guess it's not fair to judge it on feel, I just can't see it holding up the way the Petzl did. If I'm still using it in 18 years, heck even in 9 years, I will amend this review to give it 5 stars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightweight This Helmet is very light. When compared to higher priced models the adjustment is very similar and fit as well. with easy sliding clip in the rear adjusting to fit you is simple. plenty of ventilation for hot summer use and more closed design protects from sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome helmet! This is a great light weight helmet. Feels like nothing is on your head. If making a fast and light alpine ascent this helmet is great. But for day to day use on a multi pitch climb I would rather have something more durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome lightweight helmet for those who know how to care for a lightweight helmet, this is an awesome buy,,so light you could be justified in thinking that it would actually do anything if push came to shove. A must for all types of climbing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have the money and love yourself. The lightest and most breathable helmet I have ever owned. I use mine for rock-climbing in the summer and mountaineering in the winter. Kind of pricey but if you ever get it you wont regret it.
