FEATURES of the Black Diamond Trail Trekking Poles-Pair
An all-around pole with an excellence balance of comfort, features and affordability.
If the product name has the word "pair" in it, that means it comes with TWO trekking poles. If the product name says "single" or has options to select a size, it means that particular style only comes with ONE trekking pole. Sorry to be so confusing. Please don't hate me.

Great Poles! This is my second set of black diamond trekking poles and as with the last pair, these are flawless in design/performance. Though they are not the lightest (or most expensive) trekking poles on the market they have certainly proven their durability on numerous occasions including one where I dropped one then proceeded to step on it, realizing my mistake I expected to look down and find a snapped trekking pole but instead saw an unscathed pole laying on the ground, not even a chip in the paint. Based on durability, quality, and value I would say these are excellent trekking poles for the budget-minded outdoorsman.

Light, durable, and easily stored.Took these snowshoeing and snowboarding in colorado. They fit nicely on the side of my bag. Locking mechanism is solid, easy to use. Grips are comfortable but wrist strap is unadjustable and a bit tight for the thickness of my gloves. Super light, easy to put the wide snow tips on, just a quick turn with my hand. Poles telescope completely so you can detach them and clean them/grease them if so desired.,,,,You can't see them in the image because they are attached to the rear of my bag, but enjoy the moosejaw mountains.,,,,

Great, Simple PolesI'm a avid trekking pole user and have owned a few pairs over the years. There has been much debate over the merits of trekking poles, and it probably comes down to personal preference more than anything, but I bring them on every trip with any elevation change.,,,,For me trekking poles add a little UMPH to get me up steep climbs and a little cushion on the way down. I also own several shelters that integrate them as "tent" poles. Some people prefer fixed length poles, but adjustable poles are more versatile (though heavier.),,,,These poles are some of my favorites for a couple of reasons:,,,,-Simple, secure flip lock design,,-Super comfortable grips,,-Sturdy design,,,,That said, there are a few things that are lacking,,,,-I prefer cork grips for my sweaty hands (though these grips are very comfortable),,-No OEM camera mount option (unlike my Leki poles),,,,That being said, for the price I don't know if you can find better poles. I'm a fan!

Good Trekking Poles, Not as Good as Older ModelsI do a lot of hiking, for example I did 293 lakes last year. These days, I need trekking poles or I end up doing a lot of face plants. I have been using Black Diamond poles for about 7 years now. I love their secure cam locks, comfortable grips, and that they are light weight but strong. I have used my old pair to the point they were getting pretty beat up, so I decided to buy another pair as a backup. I used them yesterday on a 5 mile trail hike, 2260 feet. I like the fact that this new model is better anodized on the shafts; the older model did suffer some corrosion. It appears the new cam locks are even better than the older model. And these trekking poles even seem to be lighter yet just a strong. They only thing I do not like, is they have changed the wrist straps and the diameter of the grips. The grips feel slighter smaller, my hands prefer a larger grip, but not a big deal. However the new wrist straps are not padded like the older model; they are not as comfortable.

I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a long term investment because these will last. These are hardcore. I stepped on one the other day any it didn't even bend. The locks hold strong on these once you are set up.
