"Best Trekking Pole for the Price" 12/02/11
Did a lot of research and clearly these are the best for the price. I ended up getting a pair for myself and a pair for my roommate. The only downside I found is the trail shock is not very strong. Love the soft grips/wrist straps and the quick lock technology.
"Compact, strong, great shock absorption" 11/28/11
I bought these for a 10 day backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania. The terrain was uneven with a lot of rock (loose and otherwise) and having the shock absorption truly made for a much more plush ride than some of my friends who had poles without it. They easily adjust with the FlickLocks and fold up to about a third of their full size making it easy to transport when you don't want to use them. Definitely worth every penny!
"Easy to use, comfortable grip, great in the snow" 01/17/11
I used my poles on a 32 mile trek through snowy and hilly terrain. Like any poles, they were Huge for helping me maintain balance and rhythm. The Flicklocks are easier to use than the twisting mechanism on other poles- I was always ready with my poles before my friends were. The wrist loops are comfortable for resting your thumb on. I wish they had a bit more anti-shock spring to them for normal trail hiking, but I didn't need this in the snow. I've used Leki poles before, and overall I think the Lekis are better antishock but Black Diamonds are easier to use and more comfortable.
