bombproof tent after you seamseal it yourself of course. Wasn't sold on the internal pole design at first but after setting up in few high wind situations I definately see the genius. Very stable tent, the fitzroy may be stronger but not by too much with less weight and with a built in vesty I chose the tempest and so far have not regretted it.
Took this tent to Patagonia and it withstood the biggest winds. Great in a deluge, too. Be sure to set aside enough time to seam seal the tent, which will take you 10 days, of doing it every day, because you have to do each seam in four places and it's worky to spread the tent out so the seams are exposed. Tip when you're done, store the applicator and sealer in the freezer. That way, the sealer won't clog up your tip.
I am glad to make comment on this tent now. This tent is for my friend whose hobby is taking picture in mountain. He should stay at some spot for long tme for good pictures, so I recomand him this tent. Warm enough as we expected. But difficult to set up. Heavier than we thought. If your party is more than three, please buy it. But if you are solo, Well...
