Black Diamond seems to only make the best gear so a review saying anything else is a lie! I never leave home without my gear. And the one thing that saves my ass is my rope so I keep it as safe as I can. The Super slacker keeps it clean and easy to hall.

"Works well since meeting the "bag" qualification shouldn't be too tough, although others might suck" 		          05/11/09
So far, this bag is quite durable, in that it's been doubling as a barefoot belayer's tarp since I bought it. When completely open, it provides a ton of surface area to put a 70m rope onto in order to keep the rope as clean as possible. All that usable area compresses very well with the pull cords on the ends and the 2 buckles in the middle, providing you a non-bulky, easy to carry bag. The 2 internal loops are a great idea to tie the rope ends to so you never have to hunt for them after reopening a packed rope. The padded shoulder strap is a nice touch to help prevent turning your neck/shoulder into a bloody mess.

"great on paper, but only if it's used to wipe your ass..." 		          10/15/08
I don't know... but they've left me highly unsatisfied. the bag material is TOO thin. it's a rope bag. which means it goes where ever you go, to keep your rope safe while in travel. yeah, right. the material is thinner than my girlfriend's panties... The shoulder strap is thin and awkward, and with any decent sized rope digs in your shoulders . and worse part... the strap buckles. completely useless. I had to tie the shoulder straps into a knot to keep them from coming undone. so the company the creates harnesses to keep you from falling 100ft to the forest floor below, can't created a rock bag buckle to keep it from falling a mere 3 ft. bottom line, dont skimp out. buy something better.

"Light, Durable, and Quick" 		          04/01/08
Very quick and easy to use. Kept my rope clean and organized when going from route to route. I haven’t had a chance to use it as a bucket, but I would recommend this to sport and trad climbers.

This bag has a nice tarp in it and is very roomy for whatever size rope you have. I dont like the fact that both ends are just draw stringed together. I would like to see it more duffle bage style. Other than that it works very well.

This is a very well made bag. Could easily hold two large ropes plus some of your gear. The cinch straps make sure that everything is secure. The extra fold out tarp helps keep your ropes and gear out of the dirt too.

"Great rope bag - easy to carry and protects my rope" 		          06/15/06
I like the bag and my rope can be nicely kept and separated with the tarp. Good design for carrying the rope and good protection for the rope. There is room and loops for carrying other gear which is great. However, I wish there was one zippered pocket inside for carrying a few loose items and maybe some sort of picket or attach points on the outside of the bag. I still need to carry a small backpack type bag to have all my equipment and extras. Since there is room for other gear in the bag it would be nice to have the above mentioned features to make it more convienent to carry other gear.

Great Bag! Built in tarp works great to protect your rope from the dirt and rocks. Nice padded shoulder strap makes carrying nicer. Really a clever design, no more coiling!
