"Spend money to save money" 03/06/12
Its crazy to see so many people sell their kidneys for some sweet climbing rope only to toss it on their back seat when they are not using it. This bag will certainly save you some greens by keeping your rope protected until it needed. Worse case you can use it for a highly fashionable man purse everyone will be jealous of.

As far as bags go, it doesn't get better this bag. If you are going to spend a day out at the local crag, then this is the bag for you. The chute design makes it easy to shove the rope in the bag and quick strap it so you can move on down the wall. It cinches up very nicely when you are done for the day. Excellent product.

The rope bag is fantastic for my uses. Very lightweight, large tarp and easy to pack. I personally don't use my rope bag to carry anything other than my rope. Furthermore, I always put my rope bag inside my daypack to carry to and from the crag. I like the balance afforded by a purpose built pack rather than just having the rope bag slung over my shoulder. As such, I don't need anything built to carry anything more than 10-11lbs of rope. On easy approaches, I'll take this out of my pack to let someone else carry it if they aren't carrying any gear. for that purpose, the shoulder strap works great.

We use this bag to carry our 70m rope along with other gear that we cant fit into our other packs. Its perfect for keeping the rope tangle free and also serving as a place to stand on the ground seeing how it folds out into a large tarp.

I use this bag to carry 70 meters of 9.8mm rope, two pairs of shoes, a harness and snacks. I wish the roll out tarp would detach but it does a gret job of managing the rope and keeping it clean. A good addition would be a small flap to cover the drawstring opening.

This bag is awesome, i've just bought a second one. I hate coiling rope, and now i'll never have to do it again probably. Black diamond really thought this one through, i wish i had a comfy secure fashionable rope bag i could spend the rest of my life in.

For the longest time i kept my ropes in the factory rope bags... finally decided to give them a proper home. This rope bag is amazing, never have to coil your rope, has a loop to keep the ends organized, i've just bought a second one too for my static rope.

Best piece of equipment I've bought in a long time. Keeps the rope clean and tangle free. One of the best parts is anytime you want to move to another crag, just pick up the tarp piece and slide the rope into the bag. It takes 2 seconds and the rope somehow always comes out tangle free, a freaking miracle to someone who can tangle a rope by looking at it.

Loving this bag... I use it with a 60m 10.1 rope and there's plenty of room left for a larger rope. I have stashed my shoes and chalk bag in it to keep all of the dirty stuff together and then use a relatively small pack to carry the rest of my gear. If you carry a large pack and are looking for the smallest, lightest rope bag, this is probably not for you.The strap is padded and comfy on a longer hike. The design of the chute allows easy and quick packing of your rope, whether you want to use it as a chute to slide your rope in, or you can wrap it in the tarp and stuff it. The tarp is larger enough that I almost always hit it when pulling the rope.
